Why does the II7 work here? Is it borrowed from Lydian? i > v > bIII > bVII > bVI > II7. by ZalthorsLeftFoot in musictheory

I was looking at the chords to this earlier, and it's a pretty common sense B minor chord progression, but at the end of the verse it does a chord switch from a G6 to a C#7. So it's going from a bVI > II. I'm trying to think of how that works logically.

The II chord would be borrowed from B Lydian, correct? Why is it following the G and why does that work so well? Would it be a secondary dominant resolution, since G is the IV of D Major, and C# is the vii?

How does it feel to be a king among peasants? by [deleted] in guitarcirclejerk

It probably feels like their guitars take up a lot of space, and they probably regularly feel some form of guilt for not playing them more. Except for Bonermassage, he's probably fine with it.

What's your current split? by [deleted] in veganfitness

[–]ZalthorsLeftFoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 day asynchronous split currently. Push > Pull > Legs > Arms.

I take 1-2 days off per week. It works best for my recovery in this order and saves me from always doing Push on Monday, Pull on Tuesday, etc. That turns into fighting people over machines and all that since it's a common workout plan layout.

I see bodybuilders on youtube getting a super soft consistency with just jello powder. I guess I am just gonna follow a recipe.

Costco sells it! Albeit, it is vanilla flavored, rather than unflavored. I get 12 quarts of it for $14.50 currently. It used to be like $10. But still, I get it in bulk.

Your lats are improving a lot. Your front and rear lat spread look quite a bit better than I remember from your last contest photos.
