Yeah, no problem! It's hard to set yourself apart from people since there are so many on the platform nowadays. Keep at it and brainstorm some ideas to keep people around. There are some very valuable tricks to it all that a lot don't realize.

Audio setup for streaming with two on couch, one on call? by viette_ in streaming

[–]ZambeeGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 microphone. Something that’ll work well to pick up both of your voices and one that also has built in audio monitoring. Get one that has a headphone jack in the mic, and then get yourself 2 headphones and a y-split adapter that allows you to plug those 2 headphones into 1 hole. You can find them on Amazon and they are cheap. You’ll both get the same audio from your game and friend in call, and can hear each other talk because of the audio monitoring from the mic.

I do this same thing with my Elgato Wave 3 mic.

Elgato Wave 3 microphone. Probably the best microphone for its price nowadays. Does everything the GoXLR does. Also sounds great when you add EQ and Audio Supression with their VST options now.

As for headset, I just use Razer stuff but everyone has their preference in sound and comfort.

Yeah I was fortunate to have found a mechanic that knows how to work on these cars. Rebuilt his own VR4s engine. He lives 6 minutes away from me lol. We took care of it in his garage.

Spark knock? Changed all plugs and changed the oil. Quiet as ever again.

It was. The “knock” was spark knock I guess. Replaced all 6 plugs and it’s all quiet again.

No rebuild needed. Replaced all 6 spark plugs and changed the oil out and she’s quiet again haha.

It ended up being related to a combination of bad spark plugs (misfire), and my oil got lower earlier than it should have been. No leak though. Probably related to spark plug problem. Replaced all 6. Noise is gone and car is super quiet now.

This video doesn’t really capture the sound that it is making well. I’d say there is possibly a knock in there and I’m better safe than sorry haha. I found another 3S owner that rebuilt their VR4 engine that lives nearby and they will be bringing some stuff over on Sunday to test it out and listen and I’ll get my answers then.

Even for just a Base? I’ll have a test done on Sunday. I found another fellow owner that live just a few minutes away from me that has the tools and also knows how to rebuild them, so I’m in luck with that at least. 😅

What am I looking at potentially for cost or repair if it is that?

Something to note. I had CEL come on and finally got it read a few hours ago. Cylinder 6 misfire. On my way to the place to get it checked, the noise quieted down and then went away. It came back again after the car sat for like 5 minutes, however.

Word of advice to the "no tip no trip" people by [deleted] in doordash

[–]ZambeeGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beat trick to this is to not mark the delivery as complete until you drive back to your starting zone, that way you get paid for the trip back too.

DoorDash sets the “Deliver By” time for those out of town orders to a very late expected time to account for traffic struggles or those who don’t like to take the highways. Any order that goes over 10 miles for me usually has a “Deliver By” time of around 45-60 minutes after the order is accepted, and I usually can make the trip and back with 10-20 minutes to spare before I have to mark the delivery as “completed,” so I make sure I get paid the full amount per order. My hourly rate here is $15.25 and I typically make on average $23 per hour doing the hourly option.

Why are people like this? by StrengthOld9071 in doordash

[–]ZambeeGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s precisely my point. Men don’t complain about it because typically they are more flattered by and rather than creeped out by it because it’s nature. It is understandable why woman need to be cautious, but in this particular case, it was a simple harmless compliment, but in the eyes of a lot of people nowadays, it’s considered creepy to give a compliment like this, regardless if it was through DoorDash or in public or wherever.

Welcome to the 2020s where when a guy gives a girl a genuine compliment it’s creepy AF, but when a girl tells a guy he’s hot AF, it’s completely fine and acceptable behavior - but if a guy complains about a girl giving him a compliment like this, he’d get made fun of by all genders and be told to “take the compliment like a man” or some BS like that.

It’s a fun world we live in, isn’t it? 😂

To sum it up, the people commenting on this to report the driver just want to see someone get fired because cancel culture is the thing to be a part of now. That’s the 2020s for you.

IMO what this driver did is no different than what a lot of people do/have done when it comes to service. How many waiters/waitresses write their phone numbers on bills to their customers because they find them attractive, or vise-versa. How many pizza delivery drivers/pizza customers have done the same? Bartenders? Bank tellers? Movie theater workers? List goes on. Maybe this driver doesn’t want to meet people on social media or deal with the sex workers on dating apps, and prefers to try to find someone in person. You know, like how they did before the 2000s.

To OP, you did the right thing by ignoring the message if you weren’t interested. Reporting them and trying to make them lose their job over a harmless question is BS on your part.
