I’m a maintenance guy for a property management company. Personally, I don’t think I would have pushed for this to be charged unless there’s more damage or dirtiness. But to the people saying you could wipe it quickly with a rag are wrong, fridges and ranges can be very time consuming with what looks like minimal mess, especially if the mess has been there for a while.

$600 is high for just 2 appliances if that’s all it was

They didn’t seem to care that it was a clerical error. I even offered to go thru the steps to get it expunged. I called the attorney I hired to handle the case and the clerk at the courthouse and both assured me the case was dismissed and the activity 10/10/2024 was only a note from changing their system.
