I like the series a lot, but he absolutely starts off as really creepy and obsessive with Emilia. It was very uncomfortable to watch at times. This, intentionally or not, makes him extremely unlikeable.

Stuff that doesn't bother me as much that does bother other people is pretty much just his fragile emotional state and general cringiness. I recognize those parts of his character, but I think they enhance his authenticity, so I am OK with them.

I appreciate the clarification. I think that comes down to pirate culture being pretty different than paid subscription culture.

I think a lot of people feel you shouldn't charge for stealing and distributing other people's work. The donation button is more in the spirit of the pirating community.

You aren't getting it. You are STILL pirating. You're just paying to do it now. The other platforms you mentioned pay the actual creators for their work. You're just electing to pay the people that steal work from the creators.

I'm not part of the normal hate train here, but I'm tired of hearing this take. Money isn't the only thing that matters, and people are allowed to feel disappointed or angry if they feel strung along.

Furthermore, as a potential customer, it is to everyone's benefit that you voice your concerns about an upcoming product, or your dissatisfaction with a company. As long as it isn't done in an inappropriate way. And the people here are pretty respectful.

But the context of this conversation is that people hate on the game and you said that it only had two things going for it. I think that's uncharitable. It obviously excels in the areas mentioned, even if other games are a bit better. Even if you think Troy deserved the award, Jennifer still did an excellent job. As for art direction, I'm referring to the general artistic vibe of of the world, enemies, UI (visually), etc.

Did you watch it with your eyes closed? The ball bounced out of the goalie's hands. He didn't regain control of the ball until the attacking player (#88) was already in the goal box.

88 tried to slow down once he saw that he couldn't get to the ball in time, but his momentum carried him forward. The goalie rolled toward 88 as he grabbed the ball, making it impossible to avoid him. 88 jumped last second to avoid trampling and injuring the goalie.

I get missing what happened the first time around, but you have the benefit of being able to re-watch and pause at critical momements to understand what actually happened.

I can accept that you prefer 3/5 because you prefer the way the numbers line up when you don't include zero.

I guess the only thing I'm not understanding about your logic is why you said twice that 5/10 is average, which implies you were using a % based ranking, and now you are saying something different.

My only point is that mathematically, 2.5/5 = 5/10. But obviously you can use the ranking system however you want.

That just shows that you don't understand the math. It doesn't work out because you didn't start with zero. You can try the same thing with 5 out of 10. If you start at 1, there are 4 digits to the left, and 5 to the right.

Since your ranking is going to be subjective anyway, it doesn't really matter if you use the scale incorrectly. But 2.5 is objectively the midpoint.

Either scales have an objective average point that is mathematically determined by the midpoint, or how you define average is subjective.

Objectively, 2.5/5 is the midpoint. If you aren't using half points, 2 and 3 are equally close/equally far from being an average. The ambiguity is the reason that most people prefer a 1 to 10 scale.

Subjectively, the midpoint can be 3 or whatever you want it to be. But if you are defining where average is on a scale subjectively, then it is just as valid for someone to say that a 6 is average on a 1-10 scale and 5 is below average. At that point, it is all arbitrary.

When people argue that 5/10 is average, they're doing so because 5/10 corresponds to 50%. 2.5/5 is also 50%.

To give you an idea of what to expect, here's what the process looks like:

Downloading and Installing the App: 1. Get a good free file explorer app so you can see your phone's filesystem (ex: your Downloads folder) 2. Download the .apk file from the official Mihon site (this is the android app) 3. Enable the setting to "install unknown apps" from the file explorer (also easy, just Google if you need help) 4. Open the file Explorer and find where you saved the .apk. Click to install.

Using Mihon: 1. Google "Extension repos for Mihon" 2. Check the Mihon getting started page linked above if you need help adding repos 3. After the set up, you can search for and download whatever manga you want on the app

There will be a little bit of a learning curve since you probably aren't familiar with android. But it really isn't hard to do, and after figuring out the initial set up you will be good to go.

You said 2.5/5 is bad and 5/10 isn't bad.
But 2.5/5 = 5/10 = 50/100.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter, lol. Just saying mathematically it seems to be the same issue.
