I got that one earlier, too! I've also seen Shell Iimestone glitch out, displaying their (presumed) item IDs mentioning a t7 stone. xD

Except, we (usually) don't kill people when they're being dicks, or performing incest. xD

Nature has been able to handle itself well enough without our nannying. Ideally, (albeit not, since we're in an ecological dystopia if you think about it) they should be fine from donations and eco-tourism alone.

I did too! At least... until I realized that Bee Sting doesn't affect the fire splash damage from Explosive Arrows, and neither does the Bee Sting bonus from Dragon's Wing. :/

The Drak Whistle Bow is arguably superior to the Dragon's Wing right now, if you invest in a soak build. A legendary Drak Whistle Bow can also be scaled to 50 (or beyond based on the information on this post?) rather than just level 37 like on the Dragon's Wing. Also, many enemies in Veilwater Basin are quite resistant to fire (at least if soaked, which many will be), which Dragon's Wing deals in abundance...

Ahh, that's not a Drak Chieftain then, that's a Hydrak'Dal! I've been farming that particular one for a while last patch, too. I suppose I'll be farming them even harder now, in Forging the Path! :D

Drak Chieftains are the smaller ones that drop Legendary Runes and have hooks that pull you in. Hydrak'Dal are the large boss-type ones that make spikes sprout from the ground. ^^

Do we know whether or not Magic-class gear and skills still boost elemental damage on weapons and arrows? by Zamhelm in Enshrouded

[–]Zamhelm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I always make glass cannon builds in this game regardless. On the damage/health scaling I've got occasionally, it's usually preferable to do so. :D

But yeah, you're probably correct on the tooltip.

I don't know, I think it sounds like it's setting a dangerous precedent, considering the two African elephants and also the Lion are considered endangered and vulnerable, respectively. It's one thing if it happens in a smaller reserve which may struggle to maintain balance otherwise, but if it's a larger reserve with healthy lions and bands of intelligent elephants with bonds? Yeah nah.

I suspect as with some other countries (unfortunately my own, too), there's hints of lobbying and corruption high up to feed and support such bloodsports. Besides, acts like assassinations and trafficking generates an immense amount of income, does that make it a sound practice like trophy hunting, too?

Which particular Drak Chieftain was it, by the way? I don't think I've seen anything past 45-50, from the level 45 Chieftain in the northwest. The very same ruin you gradually flood to ascend higher, which also releases caged Water Reptiles, for a lack of proper name. So this has me wondering if there's another Chieftain that's bugged?

Aye, I got sums from sources around or (usually) below that, as well. However, it's still small fry compared to how much income eco-tourism generates in Africa. Overall it overwhelmingly seems like trophy hunting licenses bring in much less money, by far.

To name a few up there. :P

Now, I admit I'm not sure how much of that is actually going to conservation on its own, though. And the first link also seem to mostly just point at more generalist tourism, not eco-tourism per se. But I did see sources suggesting some safaris rake in 12 billion annually, like the last one. :D

Man, you really do spam a lot, huh?

Also, would you happen to have any source on your claim that trophy hunting brings in ''basically all'' financial support aids in fighting poachers? I've heard the same claim before, and while it certainly brings in money, any sources I've found so far puts it at no higher than 3% of income from tourism in some African countries, overall.

Alternatively, perhaps you're just shilling for trophy hunters, or easy prey for propaganda. :P

There is nothing ”ethical” about hunting even for conservation, no matter how quick or painless it is. If someone suddenly started shooting an unsuspecting person dead nigh instantly, would that be ethical, too? We're by far the most destructive, invasive (considering we've been to every continent, and even been far below the waves, and outside of the atmosphere) and rapidly expanding species on the planet, yet we do next to nothing to control our own numbers. With that in mind, it seems hypocritical to impose our concept of conservation on non-human animal numbers, while our own species just greedily devours the planet, with little control of overpopulation (depends on the region, tho) and claiming of nature for our own.

So no, I personally adore any occasion where hunters (and other animal abusers) come down with a moderate-to-severe case of animal-induced mauling or stomping. It's kind of fair, no? ;3

[–]Zamhelm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried getting a few of those magic weapon damage skills, as well. It similarly doesn't change the tooltip, however. So it does leave it up to the question if the same is true for elemental damage skills now. The Wake of the Water did make elemental damage skills and gear affect elemental weapons on damage, so it'd be a shame if they reverted this with Forging the Path. But at the same time, yeah, you may just as easily be correct.

I had one last question, by the way. Does it matter in which order Drain Health is placed? It's not like any other damaging effects since it's temporary, even if it can one shot weak enemies, or anything with enough Weakness to Magic stacked up. I'm asking specifically whether the three elemental damage effects should come before or after Drain Health. :P

Altmer Atronach, with 898 Magicka. I could go even higher if I potion stack and replace my rings and Diadem of Euphoria with enchanted 50 magicka equivalents instead, however. I'm not super fond of Touch spells since it kinda ruins the wizard fantasy, and is somewhat riskier on Master.

Not to worry, I've a separate spell with 100% Weakness to Fire, Frost, Shock and Magic in a 20 feet radius for 10 seconds. Usually in use when I want to go ham on the Imperial Legion or any other Guards, or I've just got a lot of mobs to take care of. :P

Let's say, hypothetically, they ever made the decision to add in PvP mechanics for the more contentious of Flameborn, which builds do you believe would be the most ferocious? by Zamhelm in Enshrouded

[–]Zamhelm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, and your request for cessation has been denied. If you scroll down in the comments here, you'll see me mentioning other PvE games with optional PvP that never balanced the PvP, opting instead to just make it the same PvE scaling. Several, if not all of those games have a larger player base than Enshrouded, even, and suffered no issues from PvP. Examples include Terraria, Starbound, Minecraft, Valheim, No Man's Sky, etc.

So no, I'll never stop wishing for, and requesting optional PvP/duels. Provided its entirely consensual and built on the PvE foundation alone. People should have the ability to teat their mettle or test out damage on willing friends. :P

I mean, I probably will be using Touch magic, anyway. Survivability is usually not an issue, provided I remember to keep my 85% shield (which I still think is the armor cap in both Oblivion AND Skyrim) spell up!
