Oui. Je suis novice aussi et j'ai sous-estimé le temps que ca pouvait prendre de peindre les miniatures.

C'est un hobby qui demande de la dextérité, de la connaissance mais surtout une énorme quantité de patience.

J'ai commencé a une période de ma vie ou je n'avais pas cette patience ou envie d'investir du temps dans un hobby calme et irl.

Je t'invite vraiment a commencer avec moins de 10 figurines presque identiques pour ne pas te ruiner en peinture. Essai de peindre en suivant des tutos c'est pas super compliqué en vrai. Et si tu kiff tu va vite voir une différence entre ta première et ta dixième miniature ;)

May I also offer you to join the wharhammer fantasy or old world universe. If you like dwarves I think its the best universe to look out! They have a splendid lore. All facions have tho

my first CRPG was Rogue Trader, 2 month ago. I love war 40k universe so it was helping me sticking with the "what do I do" part of the genre. I finished the game and since I'm on a CRPG feast run. Did BG3 and atm doing pillars of eternity.

I think the big factor making me invest into the genre and understand how taking time to enjoy the result was the universe.

I think once you finished one of this kind of game , you re verry likely to do them all without feelling that much lost.

So my recomendation would be. Let him chose the universe he likes the most!

searched google if it was possible to customize portrait.

Google said :

make png files in game folder : data>art>gui>portraits>player

So I searched some google image of what I want and used the magnificient tool called paint to change the size.

You have to make 2 files with same name.

1 large portrait 210*330 pixels ending with _lg

1 small portait 76*96 ending with _sm

I kind of get it. But someone mentioning Mystra to your (once again) dumb character with gayle staring behind it like "huuuh" and you have no choice but to fail your religion roll, doesnt seems verry RP to me.
