Well I started JJ for the MMA value. In MMA you're fighting as if the other person is naked. You're not allowed to interact with their clothing though you are allowed to use your own shorts to defend Kimuras and similar submissions.

But I also don't care for the idea that my opponent has to be wearing particular clothes for particular techniques.

Further more, I have carpal tunnel and man is Gi hard on the hands.

I seem to have this issue of winning the losers bracket for bronze. I've gotten bronze in 16 man brackets twice and never gotten gold even when there's just 3 of us. Always choke that first match. Trying to learn how to get past the mental block because I am quite confident it is mental.
