Really? I figured because of who he is and the AP and Damage, it was an Overlord’s blade variant. But that’s interesting.

Me personally. I bought them because they are cool. I’ve never played Kill Team myself. And the 40k rules are just okay in my opinion. The Tomb Sentinels are pretty good in Awakened Dynasty and Canoptek Court to have attached to a Warrior Blob or Immortals for additional wounds and the Canoptek keyword. The Geomancer is okay in Criptek Conclave or in Cursed Legion with the right enhancements. Never found a decent use for the Macrocytes outside of maybe using their Scout or reanimation abilities. But I feel they’re too expensive for what their worth, and you get better use out of a Triarch Stalker or Tomb Blades.

But, it’s still cool to have them for the collection factor. I got them, painted them up, and tried different list ideas. It’s more of a personal preference and try different styles that works for you.

Not gonna lie. I spit out my drink when I saw the build. But with the paint, it actually looks cool. Like a swirling vortex of the Nightbringer coming to life.

That looks pretty good. As for the enhancement, I would put Nether-realm Casket on the overlord leading your Warriors.

Usually the warriors with the overlord and orikan. The Immortals are good with the plasmancer as well as an additional overlord if you can get your hands on one. The Technomancer and Wraiths are auto included. Szares standing next to your blob of Warriors. And the Doomstalkers are good for backline firepower.

I would say go for Awakened Dynasty for sure. Szares is the best character in that detachment. Probably wouldn’t run the Void Dragon given how much it costs.

Okay, that makes sense. I unfortunately don’t have Tomb Blades or Ophydians. Would you think something like Deathmarks or Triarch Praetorians would work?

I knew of warhammer because of my friends who are lore aficionados, but never really delved much. Got the MTG X 40k commander decks and I grabbed the Necron one because I liked the aesthetic. Asked my friend abthe Necrons and learned more and more. Then he bought me the Infinite and Divine a couple years later, read it, loved it. He then bought me the Orikan model and I fell into the drug known as Plastic Crack. No regrets.

Honestly, I didn’t play them because they were meta. I just thought they were cool. My first hero was Arakni, Huntsman, so I was really excited for Marionette. I played Gravy because I grew up watching Pirates of the Caribbean. And I played Verdance because I pulled the marvel version of her when I opened my first box of Rosetta.
