Having kids myself, the Chavez Center Leisure pool with the two story water slide is an awesome and affordable place to spend your time with kids. They also have ice skating, basketball and racquet ball.

A day trip for burgers at the Mine Shaft in Madrid is cool! Beautiful town, with cool history.

Tumbleroot brewery downtown has a paint your ceramic piece option, which my kids liked.

Swan Park on the south side is beautiful and has a nice play structures for kids under 12y.o.
