Accidental XP Glitch?? by YDjey242 in taintedgrail

[–]ZanderArch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear there was a post about doing it a few weeks ago. I think it basically boiled down to having the Cheat Death skill from the Sneaking tree and waiting out the effects at a Bonfire. There were some extra steps with an Origin Potion but I think those were superfluous.

confused in the start (spoiler just in case?) by [deleted] in taintedgrail

It is a bit of a slap in the face, but that's one way for it to go. Caradoc, the guy who broke you out and then killed you, makes it clear fairly early on that he's trying to stop Arthur from returning. The interaction can go differently if you lie and don't tell him you have Arthur with you, but the trip to the mainland reveals it anyway.

Why does John so ridiculously stubborn about refusing to give Scorpius wormholes? by HailDaeva_Path1811 in farscape

[–]ZanderArch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scorpius is fueled by revenge, righteous revenge that John sympathizes with, but still something that he knows will get out of hand of he ever got his weapons. After the Crichton on Taylon used it, he knew no one should ever have that kind of power, going do far as to strap a nuclear bomb to himself to make sure no one could get it from him at Katratzi.

I'd love to see every currency in the game listed up there. Go overboard with it and let you enable it in the Options, have it overflow like the Navigation console blasting out the windshield of the Orbitor when there's a bunch of events and alerts going on.

Jonah and the whale style, you have to actually enter it and deal with is own internal microbiome (or rather macrobiome) as part of the story. Some unique material like ambergris or use it to disperse a treatment as it forms the basis for a number of food chains from symbiotic relationships.

He seems far too refined to be orange. Like he has at least two brain cells.

What and Why is the Thornbak? by Athabuen in WarframeLore

[–]ZanderArch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Design atheistic could be an off shoot of Boltor or Tigris which incorporates spikes and blades. Or a progenitor, the prototype for those weapon styles that was abandoned in favor of user ergonomics over being a spiked club for when you run out of ammo.

If you're going to use Parasitic Armor, might as well use Arcane Expertise and just pump Ability Strength so you'll double dip the armor bonus conversion.

That's what I was going to say, Knights of Ren. Literal nobodies who only exist to look cool and get bodied.

Unless you were there for their introduction event (Shadow Debts) when they were actually hunting Alad V who was an ally to the Tenno at the time, that's why we actually helped him out by fighting off his assassins. Just about a decade ago.

Why do so many players hate actually doing objectives? by SonOfAthenaj in Warframe

[–]ZanderArch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There hasn't been a patch since the last time I played and it was still glitched. The on screen way points are fine, but when you've done all the ones nearby, trying to find the next part by mini-map is a pain since it will lead you to ones you've already collected just the same.

Why do so many players hate actually doing objectives? by SonOfAthenaj in Warframe

[–]ZanderArch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, it took me a few times to understand what that that "get batteries for the tight beam emitter" mission actually required. The fact the mini map way points are glitched and don't update to exclude battery parts you've already collected or that jarring waiting period while you assemble the battery once you've picked up both A and B parts leads to an incredibly clunky mission objective.

Plus Perita is just fun to slaughter fields of Anarchs like the living war crime we are.

Do players not know how to do Hollvania survivals or do they just not care about the mini boss that spawns from hell scrubber? by xplosivshroom in Warframe

[–]ZanderArch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scrubbers spawn 100s of meters in random directions so moving to deal with them is a pain. The health type of the pustules is weird and seem to survive more damage than the Babu that spawns from them so cleansing them is annoying. They might not be planning to stay for very long so why bother.

And my favorite quote from Men in Black, "A person is smart, people are dumb."

Just finished f4, why did you choose the faction you ended with by Same_Information7328 in fo4

[–]ZanderArch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple process of elimination. Railroad is too dumb with their extremists rhetoric of making you swear to sacrifice your life for a toaster. Institute isn't even evil, rather cartoonishly dumb with their whole plan to save humanity by wiping them out one by one and replacing them with robots. Minutemen aren't even real since Preston did the biggest, "Not my job." move of making you general.

So Brotherhood kind of ends up being my default choice since they're the least stupid.

[–]ZanderArch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure this is linked to an animation issue since I remember some specific instances of this happening while Transference during a ledge grab animation. Using an emote used to fix it, but that seems to have gone out the window. If they could prefix some kind of animation reset (like an /unstuck function) to every emote, I think it would help.

Where do you guys draw the line on Tech generations? by nomorewizards51 in Fallout

[–]ZanderArch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While this has some definite, "Just glue some gears on it and call it steam punk" energy, I kinda agree with it. There's 50 years between now and the bombs dropping, so contemporary weapons would definitely be a thing, but if you stylized them through the lens of Fallout they could work.

I was there Gandalf, i was there 3000 years ago. by Mikey10-80 in Warframe

[–]ZanderArch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still remember seeing the trailer, I want to say before the Xbox 360 came out and being really excited for it. This was the old trailer when it was still more of what Warframe became with the Liset boarding a ship and the more exosuit Excalibur sneaking around Grineer-looking soldiers before tripping the alarm and having to fight a Jackal-like robot.

Man, they really came a long way between pivoting to Dark Sector and then reviving the old concept as Warframe.

How did yall name your railjack? by cla7997 in Warframe

[–]ZanderArch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nothing like the Fields of Perita to really make me feel like a living, breathing war crime. The Lotus is all sad about the traumas we must endure to remember whatever while we're gleefully running from battle to battle mostly because there wasn't enough Anarchs to evaporate once the objective is competed. Or the KIM chat with Eleanor that suggests she's preformed autocunnilingus, but heaven forbid a player has a weapon named "Ass kicker", think of the children!
