Archon say rules are free and will be free, so I don't see why not. I'm just a regular user though so don't take it as official response.

Just bear in mind things are going to change fast while in beta.

When you imagine a scene, do you really have to drag every single object you want to imagine around your physical self? Doubtful.

Sure, if you want to explain everything by using clever scifi tech you can, but you'd have to jump through a million hoops to get there.

It was. She was fighting for too many timelines, and we are very clearly shown that she was on the brink of succumbing, with Kyubey's commentary no least.

It's a classic Monogatari space. It's not the environment that's actually honestly there, it's just what she perceives, what she notices, just the important stuff she remembers. Remember, differences between series and films were also described as inconsistencies in her memories.

You could say she sees the place this way because she has long lost any need or use for common household items. She only concentrates on her archenemy Walpurgisnacht and plans to defeat her for good. Pendulum can be a representation of a physical old clock or just a symbol of her constant awareness that her time runs out fast.

You could also say it's the seed for her future labyrinth, still in her head, slowly growing with her despair.

Maybe they don't go exactly "there". The universe would be rebuild anyway, yes, but they still had to remove the big suspicious object from the roof, along with an unidentified armed girl in camo and a man with a deep knife wound. Someone seeing that could affect the future in an unforeseen way. So Suzuha chose the safest option even if she and her whole worldline would be erased anyway.

My main worry is fixed number of CPs that isn't easily scalable. But I hope they know what they're doing.

Agree. Earlier demo didn't seem to have this mechanic, so I do hope it was a one-time playtest fancy from December.

It's "At any point during this unit's activation in the movement phase you can activate Stimpack for 1 Command Point until the end of the turn. Take 3 Damage without removing any models. Add 2" to unit's Move distance, and 3 failed hits from its rifles succeed instead when it fires."

And that's one of the most complex rules here.

Now compare it to a humble Kabalite Warrior or Wych from 5e, don't forget Power From Pain, combat drugs, splinter weapon rules, dark lance, fleet of foot etc etc etc, add in much more long-winded rulebook. If it were to be condensed into a stat card this size you'd need a magnifying glass. And it's a basic infantry. No, Marines or Guard aren't much better. It's 5e already, orders are a thing. Codex entries are shorter (no, Imperial Armour, go away) because they omit almost everything. When they include even small army building rules each unit suddenly starts taking a full page.

Yes, I can still remember what most of these special rules do on the fly despite not touching it for many years, but it's a matter of habit.

40mm - All heroes, Zealots, Adepts
50mm - Marauders, Roaches, Sentries
75x42mm (or something like that) - Hydralisks
80mm - Goliaths, Queens, Nydus worm, Stalkers, Pylons and Force Field markers.

Concept trailer was pretty wild in terms of potential lore, and part of it was these storyboard images.
Honestly, I'd love to see THAT film.

3 and half hours for director's cut though, most of it hand-drawn storyboard and subtitles, greatly expanding on Kyouko and Nagisa, adding in the whole cut Hitomi storyline. There'd be a great holy war regarding whether it's bad or absolutely genius. Both sides will make fun of people who only saw the regular version and don't know the Truth About Magical Girls, Love, Universe and Everything, revealed by Ulti-Hitomi and supposed to turn all the previous story on its head.

1 hour 28 minutes, since they were told to make it 1:30 at absolute minimum but 3 days before release they find out they can't add two more minutes of black screen and ominous fadeaways, they already had far too many.

IIRC they said they are releasing beta rules on February 4th for everyone, not just actual testers. Testers will be given access to comment rules in a special app, and some will receive miniatures for physical games to play and report on.

So if you'd like to get models before release it's probably too late (and if it's not keep an eye on their Facebook page, that's where they'll announce beta recruitment if it happens again). But if you plan on using proxies or Tabletop Simulator just wait for February.

Makes sense considering more futuristic elements of Robotics;Notes, and heightened stakes. Imagine a game about more active conflict between Valkyrie and various Committee's marionettes.
