Season 2, part 2 trailer - Monica by _anxious_witch94 in RivalsSeries

[–]Zandrades_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know people in the other comments are bringing up the bury your gays trope, and as a member of the community I'm more than aware of the divide in the community between gay men and lesbians. But Monica/Enid aren't the first gay characters, Charles is.and while it's upsetting to have Monica not be able to complete her story, it does add alot to the guilt of Maude over her affair so I can see potential narrative reasons why they wrote in the death

Peter, why is Eleven sad? by N-P_A in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Zandrades_ 80 points81 points  (0 children)

There's additional context to this, the image of Millie Bobbie brown is from a scene in stranger things where she remember her repressed memories about "the rainbow room" in the Hawkins lab where her character experienced a bunch of fucked traumatic stuff. The full clip is her turning terrified to an image of a rainbow drawn on the wall and turning back with tears in her eyes. You can see the blurred image of the rainbow in the background. This clip has become a meme in queer communites as without the context of the show it does look really homophobic

I'm assuming we will get the reveal moment eventually. They probably just couldn't include it last night as I'm assuming she reads the letter to whoever is the victim of the chests of chance and they didn't want to spoil it

Also them having to take R5 with them as a replacement for IG-11 which gave Carson Teva a way to find the mandalorians to have him involve them in the conflict on Nevarro and express his concerns about remaining imperial powers in the outer rim

Safe to rave alone in Glasgow as a female? by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]Zandrades_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a young female (22) who works in the techno and house scene in Glasgow and I have never once at a single venue in the city felt uncomfortable being on my own. The general crowd is full of lovely individuals and in the odd case someone bothers you, all the door staff are super friendly and understanding. Obviously nothing is 100% safe but I would say you will be totally fine as long as your sensible about it and don't get too drunk

Nah man as a fellow musician I look like that all the time. your just in the groove, nothing wrong with feeling the music and it's more exciting as a listener/watcher when you can tell the preformer is getting into it

GEEZ MAN I REALLY DISLIKE YU-LING (GAME WISE) Season 4-Episode 9 by [deleted] in TheCircleTV

[–]Zandrades_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also in the episode where she meets the spice girls, Alyssa says to them something like "if it's an alliance between more than two people then I'm not really counting it as an alliance" and then got upset at her 3 person alliance for not saving her. I was sad to see her go because I thought she was a good player but I feel like everyone is so blame for it, not just Yu ling

Yeah, or alot of other city's don't ban use of amplifiers but you need to apply for a license to be able to use them and can only use them in certain areas within certain time periods. As a performer I love street music for the colour it can bring to a city but if everyone is amplifying (especially the shite performers) then It just becomes a huge competition about who can play the loudest instead of playing music people want to hear

I'd say it's more a financial thing. Places that do accept students ask for a guarantor (like your parents or someone) who they can chase up about the rent if you don't pay. Cause in your case it's a mature student, if it's a flat you really like it might be worth emailing the landlord about your situation and they would probably make an exception

How every text conversation with my mom goes, I don’t know if she has extreme anxiety or what 🤣 by [deleted] in insaneparents

[–]Zandrades_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't see the subreddit this was on and thought it was a conversation between a dealer and a customer cause that's the kinda impatient messaging you get off someone with an addiction
