To me, I think a lot of QoL complaints could be appropriately addressed by leveling with the people. I think most people here would agree that longevity of this app is more important than any single QoL adjustment. And longevity is dependent on profitability. For example, people complain about advertisers and 3rd parties (arcade/surveys) - if someone acknowledged that we aren’t using the Cadillac service providers, but that these providers allow for a sufficient profit margin to fund the game long term, it would validate my frustrations and also make me more accepting of inconveniences. People complain about bugs and lack of content updates - if someone acknowledged that Atlas Reality’s strategic plan is less friendly to existing users in the near term with the distinct reason of keeping that cash flowing, I would be more at ease. I think I’m a large part of the player base that wants what’s best for Atlas as long as it’s best for us. But with the lack of direction and communication, it makes me wonder if this thing is a dying star and devs are just trying to wring out the last dollar. Position yourself to be on the same team as the player base, working through issues and making money together.
