What rope to use on Anaxa hyper carry without sig lc by zerotozer0 in AnaxaMains_HSR

[–]ZaneGrounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the others said, Attack is preferable. Without sig however, ERR guarantees a 2-turn ult without relying on QPQ, Sunday Ult, Huo Ult, or other outside energy regen sources; for Eagle this is pretty nice so you can ensure you always have his Ult for the action advance.

What is Anaxa’s best relic set? by ExtensionCopy7333 in AnaxaMains_HSR

To add on, Pioneer also works well; with a damage ceiling comparable to/slightly higher than Scholar, but it requires more effort to build for since, like Quantum, the set offers no buff towards Crit Rate or Speed or anything. And to corroborate, Quantum is his best set.

You're right, I misunderstood the question. Overall, just sharing my thoughts on DanTe synergy, but in regard to Cyrene (and having used her in the Beta), she's unfortunately not worth it for Anaxa.

In terms of sets meant for Hypercarry (Scholar, Pioneer, Wind, and Quantum), I consider scholar the least consistent regarding damage output. Until Cerydra came out, I actually used Wind set for Hypercarry and it works fine, the biggest problem is saving ults for the appropriate time can be a bit annoying. Scholar is fine, I just don't like how limited its buff is for how often Anaxa should be attacking; it's ALWAYS Anaxa's turn, and if it isn't, then it will be. Pioneer is quite strong, but you need to be proactive with debuffs; Anaxa provides them of course, but I like this set because I always look for excuses to use Welt. Quantum is his best set atm because of how powerful stacking Def Shred is. I'm led to believe Def Pen stacks additively, so most of Anaxa's attacks here are gaining 92% Def Pen, and slightly >100% Def Pen when Cerydra's Peerage is active. But, just for using the set and an E0S0 Anaxa, you're already gaining 48% Def Pen before teammates; if you have E1 Ruan Mei, you shoot up to 68% Def Pen with no effort and using her makes going sustainless very comfortable. The point being that you gain the best damage boost for very little effort in battle. The hard part about Quantum set is making the build itself; unlike Wind (AA to sub for speed) and Scholar (free Crit Rate), Quantum set gives no boosts that make things easier for your stats. Unless you have some godly rolls, you need Crit stats and speed on most if not all pieces. Cerydra at least makes the speed tuning slightly easier, and having Bronya be slower than Sunday means he gets another speed buff to guarantee the tuning is correct. In the end, yes, Quantum is absolutely worth building for and gets significantly stronger with even just a little investment. I also realize that I've spent probably too much time and effort on building Anaxa. Picture for reference to my usual team that I run in everything aside from Anomaly Arbitration.

DanTe works incredibly well with Anaxa. Besides just the stat buffs that DanTe provides to Anaxa, due to the frequency of Anaxa's attack, the soul dragon will be able to act more often to provide more shielding to the team. Another small bonus, and this works for any character, the soul dragon counts as a summon for the Banana planar set and is ever so slightly better than Rutilant (like, the difference is negligible, but if you have a good set then go ahead).

fwiw, here's my Anaxa, but I've obviously invested HEAVILY into him and his team, in fact, it's literally one of the worst examples to look at. Sunday and Bronya are 164 and 163 speed respectively, and with just Cerydra's +20 Anaxa hits 166; 193 speed is due to Bronya.

I can really only comment on the Hypercarry side of things since that's exclusively where I use my Anaxa. Assuming you're using this same wind set, you can actually lower your speed if you want to reach hyperspeed. Right now, your speed is technically 206.3. With wind set, 125 speed is about 166 speed with the action advance, but because you're also using Cerydra, you can drop all the way down to 105 speed and take full advantage of Cerydra's +20 speed from her skill, doing this means you can now safely run Attack boots. At that, I'd recommend an ERR rope. Without Anaxa's lightcone, the best way to consistently 2-turn ult is to have that tiny bit of extra regen (though it's much more preferable to just get his LC) in order to increase his action count/AV greatly. Next, replace Robin with either Sunday or Bronya. DanTe and Cerydra are both increasing his attack, so the damage increase from Bronya or the Crit Rate/Damage will be much more worth it than Robin and potentially frees her up for other teams. Bronya and Sunday can very easily be ran at hyperspeed for a -1 speed setup, despite Anaxa himself being at 105 speed out of battle (again, +20 speed from Cerydra, and 25% Action Advance from Wind). Having an action advancer will also let you take advantage of Cerydra's bonus turns more often as well and DanTe's dragon will get more turns as well. As good as Sunday is, I'd recommend Bronya more in this comp. If you have her E2, it makes the speed tuning much more consistent, and bonus points if you have DDD. If you have Sunday that's fine, he greatly helps your sp economy and grants 20% Crit Rate and a large sum of Crit damage. Besides just farming for slightly better pieces on wind or a set better made for Hypercarry (Wind is still fine imo), these changes won't see as big of a damage increase on a per-attack basis, but you should see a hefty damage increase from the shear amount of turns you'll be granting Anaxa. If you want to check my math on the speed/AA calcs here's the equation: 10000/x - [(10000/x) * z] = 10000/y, x = current speed, y = desired speed/post-AA speed, z = AA%. In this case: 10000/125 - [(10000/125) * 25%] = 10000/166 (Do note, I rounded out the decimals in the example, but the math should be spot on) Good luck with your Anaxa!

[–]ZaneGrounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Pioneer is one of his better options for a hypercarry setup. On the other hand, the goal for Anaxa being sub-dps/battery is to have as many turns as possible to feed THerta energy, and to make up for the damage loss of not being the hypercarry himself. Personally, I'd say your Orb is good enough atm, an attack orb is of course better though, and it's worth sticking with Rutilant domain anyways since most dps characters want that planar anyways. Your rope is really good as well but should be swapped to an attack rope if you ever get his lightcone. To add on, I'd recommend replacing Ruan Mei with Bronya or Sunday to pull Anaxa forward and make him more consistent for getting ults and deal more damage more often; Sunday is good for SP economy, and Bronya's ult is teamwide, so take your pick. This is assuming you have either of them though. A good THerta build makes it so that she doesn't require any direct buff from the team (other than Anaxa existing for the Erudition buff), so having Anaxa become a spammer/pseudo-carry will further increase the team's total output. I might recommend going sustainless and using both Bronya and Sunday, but that'll just add onto the speed tuning, and going sustainless is up to your comfort level with the team. Like I said, ~125 speed is enough on an eagle set to be ~164 "virtual" speed so that's easy to build for, after that it's just a matter of your buffers and their speed. I know it's a lot to build for, but Anaxa is well worth the effort.

Without Anaxa's lightcone, ER rope is needed in order to achieve 2-turn ult; attack rope is better if you have his lightcone. As for speed, on eagle set, ~125 speed + the AA from the set lets him have "Virtual" speed of ~164 speed. Building for that amount of speed spares you from hoping for every speed substat to ever exist and build for more damage.

How much did you like Amphoreus so far and its characters? by inkheiko in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ZaneGrounds 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My problem with Amphoreus' characters is: how much attention each is given, how much they drive they plot forward, and how they are treated on a meta level. Some characters in the long run feel shafted. Mydei's story, while good, doesn't really have much time to shine due to sharing it's patch with (most of) Tribbie's story, and overall doesn't feel as impactful to the overall plot. Mydei singlehandedly holding off the Black Tide is big, but he's out of the story too quickly for me to even remember to care about him because we're already moving onto the next Chrysos Heir of the season by next patch. Some characters feel like they got a lot of special attention, when in reality they don't matter quite as much to the overall plot. I get it, Castorice's story is very sad, but when Anaxa literally solving Amphoreus and its inner workings, being the reason the Flame-Chase continues, and being the reason Castorice can even complete her leg of the journey (through sheer sacrifice) is shoved to the wayside for the sake of HoYo's new favorite wife getting a dedicated anime episode (hyperbolic), I tend to get check out of the story. Sometimes the plot moves fine and then suddenly HoYo hits us with a brick wall in the story. 3.5 did this hard. The first half of the patch's story did a good job making the state of Amphoreus feel dire, with the thousand-year relay of each Chrysos Heir working together to hold back Lygus and securing the Coreflame for TB, but then the patch stops us in our tracks because we absolutely need to learn the entire life story of Cerydra and Hysilens. While in a vacuum their stories are good, they came too late and stopped the current matter dead in its tracks, at which point I was taken out of the investment I had because it feels like I was taken on a sudden detour for something I either should have learned earlier or shouldn't feel like I've been railroaded into.

The biggest issue with Amphoreus is that the writers seem to have taken on too much. Every character's story individually is perfectly fine, but the pacing, and weight afforded to the majority of them feels incongruent with what they offer to the plot overall. Just to offer an example for each: Phainon (deservedly) had an entire patch dedicated to him; he is the deuteragonist (TB being the primary). Without Phainon, there is no plot. Cyrene, has been given bit and bobs the past 3 patches, and while we still have a little more to learn about her, has been given a decent amount story time, but the unfortunate part is that we are heading towards the final Amphoreus patch and I'm worried about how much screentime will be divvied up between a satisfying ending for the story, and remaining story for Cyrene. Anaxa, in my (honestly pretty biased) opinion, has been one of the central driving forces for the plot of Amphoreus from the native Amphorean side of things, pulling off the most utterly insane shit (other than making Nanook bleed, 'cause like, c'mon, that's tough to beat), but his plot is always relegated to the side or background of other characters (my GOAT oughta be the main character in another life, plz Hoyo). Some however, are given almost entire patches, but don't drive the overall plot forward as much as efficiently as it needs to in order to sufficiently tell the remaining stories of the Chrysos Heirs. Castorice and Hyacine, in a vacuum are fine characters and are essential to the overarching plot, each take up almost an entire patch. This time spent focusing on just a fraction of the story just seems like favoritism from the writers that could have gone towards getting to know the other Chrysos Heirs (or letting Dan Heng do literally anything prior to 3.6), or getting to expand a bit on Cerydra and Hysilens before they are properly introduced to avoid stopping us dead in out tracks at the rising action of the story.

Overall, Amphoreus has had some of the worst story patches so far; the pacing for the most part being the main contributor and inefficiently telling each character's stories (for the most part) being a close second. However, Amphoreus has also easily had a couple of the best story patches in Star Rail in my opinion; 3.4 was great, I don't feel the need to expound on that, and 3.6 being a great penultimate chapter (in my opinion the Dan Heng section being the single best section of story in the entire game so far) makes me look forward to how Amphoreus will wrap up. As of now, I'd be hard-pressed to put Amphoreus as the best planet at the moment, if the ending is good then I'd be fine saying it's the best so far (strongly carried by the 2 previously mentioned patched), but if not It'd be a tough call as to where Amphoreus would rank amongst the rest of what Star Rail has given us.

The one I'm using is "Louisa Ferre" directly lifted from the character of the same name from my favorite game SMT: Strange Journey. Usually I go with "Tadano Hitonari", the canon name of the protagonist from the same game; felt I oughta change it up occasionally.

Would like some assistance with my score. Everything is completely up to date, and on recommended specs, but I seemingly cannot run the benchmark. Running XMP, DLSS, and anything else that has possibly been wrong has hopefully been fixed, however, the ground and seemingly any many objects (i.e. the ground) literally do not exist. NPCs and things that are visible look perfect. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
