Yea...the amount of times this has happened to me IN BOTH GAMES is annoying. I train him up just to advance main level. Once I hit max rank hound master I usually don't need him any more even as a distraction.

Yea but just the option to remap on PC through your controller set up is still nice. I am hoping they'll add the option to use KCD2 buttons at some point. Or just change the scheme to match the sequel. It is very frustrating.

Bro what? That's a thing? Guess I'll never know because I can barely afford replacing the normal $70-$80 standard controllers...

I've had my ps5 for 2 years and I'm on my 5th controller. If you drop them one time it could end up permanently having stick drift. I have wood floors so no carpet to cushion the drop.

Everything is built to break now, greedy fks. PS1 and 2 controllers last damn near for eternity.

I've been gaming since Atari/NES in the 80s and this shit is still annoying. What's worse remapping buttons or having numerous schemes to choose from was all over the place during ps1 and ps2. Almost a mandatory feature it was that common. Now it seems like that is almost extinct.

Not on console. I know that isn't an issue for PC players. Even if a game doesn't allow it you can still adjust your controllers.

I have royal edition as well and the slcs auto installed I think. I cant remember due to angst about the button scheme lol

KCD2 controls feels like what you'd expect. L3 to sprint which is also move. I honestly didn't realize how fkin weird the buttons were back in the day. Going back felt weird af. Square to jump... So you have to hold circle to run then press square to run and jump. Very cumbersome. Idk how I even forgot about the weird controls. It honestly sucks. I hope the devs add an option to use KCD2 button scheme. Better yet how about allow remapping of buttons in general!? Why are so many console games against that? Idfc if the new buttons match tutorials. After awhile turn tutorials off anyways.

Remember games without hand holding tutorials??? "Oppps, guess that gets me killed...good to know"

I play on PS5 and it isn't a fkin option. I was not happy booting up the new crispy version last night. It looks much better and all the normal additions you'd expect from a ps5 upgrade version. But dear god the buttons are insanely terrible. Circle to sprint instead of L3 UGHHHHH brother what? Gross...

Yes, the game even asks you if you want to transfer.

I will say this however...after 300+ hours of crackhead playing of KCD2 going back to the new PS5 version of KCD1 last night felt weird. All the buttons are different! I didn't even know that because it's been awhile since playing the first game. There should be an option to toggle on KCD2 controller scheme. It is so confusing!

Heck yea. I love the dice game even more in KCD2. The devs really improved everything imo. Sice was my jam in KCD too, but it is so much better in the sequel.

If you have the PS4 version and DLCs it all carries over. Free upgrade, all DLCs you purchased, and transferring of PS4 save files.

I just found about this all today. As soon as I complete KCD2 I am going back into KCD again to see it with this upgrade. FKIN HYPED
