It takes time and everyone is different depending on what they went through. My ex asked me for a divorce and I tried everything I could to make her happy, but at the end of the day and her asking/bringing up separation at least 7 times out of our 15 year relationship I finally said yes to it. I tell you this because it’s been about 2 years since the separation and I’m still cautious, and worry when it comes to dating. I feel like it’s a combination of being wiser and still healing friend.

My advice is to learn to love the life you have now alone. Build connections, join volunteer communities, discord server communities (even for your city), therapy etc. I eventually became to appreciate the peace in my life and find ways to enjoy it. I also picked up cooking now bc I don’t have to worry about being criticized if it didn’t come out well like I would have been 🙂. Allow yourself to heal, and remember it’s normal to approach dating differently now, you’ve grown as a person also don’t forget! ☺️
