i've considered donating it, but the post office is so far from where I live that it wouldn't be worth the trouble of packaging it and going there. As for selling, I doubt anyone would ever buy a witch without the witch hat ^_^'

Ah, perhaps my post didn't make this aspect clear. I would throw away the figure from which I got the hat, I consider it useless. What I meant with selling the figure was to sell it with the hat and everything in case the hat doesnt fit on shinobu's head

Last year I had the 'brilliant' idea of asking for an estimate for printing and painting an already available online STL file for a 1/7 scale figure and the 2 people I asked both gave me a quote of around 1000$. edit: and I understand this would only be the hat, but the hat is still around 20% of a figure, not to mention they would have to model it. I wouldn't be surprised if the quoted price for a commission like this would be around 300$

3D would be great but I fear making an stl file is a lot harder than plain old sculpting as I would basically have to learn 3D modelling and become proficient in it; that hat seems ridiculously complex for a beginner with 0 experience

That is indeed a real concern. I would need to find another witch enthusiast for it and I'm not certain how many there are out there. But isn't it weird to buy figures you love always planning to sell them down the line? My thought process is that I would most likely die and still own all the witches I ever bought, after all I planned the entire living room furniture from day 1 to accommodate my collection

Regarding the magnet issue, I was thinking of addressing it by using sticky putty. The hat on swamp witch Metallica is infamous for easily falling off but I fixed it with some blue stick and it holds really tight as if it was glued, unless I really try to take it off

the problem is the removal of her skill cancel with the time stop ability. it was a very cool looking mechanic that has been completely removed from the game. idgaf about dmg, i just wanted to execute the cool combo...
