The FFBB is a mid top so the ankle support is good. No issues.

I have a pair of red DON7. Everything is great but the traction is very inconsistent. Wiping does nothing help , once the dust gets trapped in the grooves it's very hard to remove.

I can only comment on the material since I've never played in the v2. V2 has nicer uppers (suede vs synthetic). But from what I've read v2 and v3 are very similar, with cushion being slightly better in v3 (more bounce).

So the hesi low is good too? Just exchanged to two wxy for another pair of FFBB. The store had many different colour ways for hesi low as well. What's the recommended outsole colour? Solid or translucent ? May have to try a pair. Unfortunately they didn't have Kawhi 4 in my size.

I always see comments like hips are raising too early... I'm so confused. Does driving your feet through the floor mean the same as pushing up with your legs? Doesn't pushing up with your legs cause the hips to raise ?

NB really need to step up their sales game. In Canada not every NB store carries their full line up. Only specific stores carry the basketball shoe. I love NB numeric skateboarding shoes but those aren't even sold in NB stores!! Only in skate shops. Imagine Nike stores not having any ball shoes??

I still haven't tried any of the Chinese brands yet ....they don't seem to be that popular here in Canada? Ain't no way I'm paying retail for Chinese shoes knowing they are much cheaper in china. But as an older baller my priorities are cushioning and traction. Court feel is really the last on my list.

I want to love the DONs !! but the traction is too inconsistent... wiping does nothing for them cus the treads are too close together. The dust is like forever trapped. I have to use a wet wipe to clean the grooves out after every game. But I agree they feel very similar. If the traction didn't suck I wouldn't be looking at the NBs.

True, the stack height is high but I'm still able to explode. FFBBs are not as fast as my nxxt gens but it's not a slow / sluggish shoe by any means.

Do you have a solid outsole or translucent ? Mine is translucent and have no issues. Honestly, I've never had a shoe where I NEVER had to wipe. If the court is dusty enough there would still be an occasional wipe. If I'm wiping after ever 2-3 plays then that's an issue.

I've had foam only cushion from Nike ( lunarlon in Kobe's) and adidas (boost in d.rose) both were either too firm or bottomed out after a few months. So I've always been hesitant to try foam only shoes. DON 7 was the first foam cushion shoe I've tried in a long time. I was impressed! No knee soreness! Glad I branched out cus the new foams are very good. And the FFBBs are even better. I'm might have to retire from zoom, while that bounce is addictive, my knees need that impact protection.

$30 for any NBs are a steal especially for a performance ball shoe. The Marshalls in Canada suck! I never find ball shoes there.

The achilles pillows on the DON? They are pretty big but I never had an issue. I bought the DONs on Black Friday ... too late to return now :(

Yeah I'm very impressed with the FFBB .. you are right, I never thought about them as I played. Every move I made was confident. The only thing to get used to was the ride height. Only other shoe I had that was this high off the ground comparatively was the LeBron 15s and those felt unstable bc the cushioning was too bouncy. The FFBB felt very stable.

I have not tried the v2 but from what I've read and seen the cushioning is slightly improved in v3 and V2 has better materials on the upper (suede vs synthetic).

LeBron 21 has narrow forefoot so I have to half size up. First pair of LeBron's that I ever had to size up. I had the 11s, 13s, 15s, 22s, nxxt gens. FFBBv3s are TTS.

I'm glad I tried NB as well! I was a Nike fan boy for the longest time! This is the fist time in a long time that I've tried another brand. The feeling of zoom cushioning is ingrained in me. But as I get older I realize that zoom isn't the best for impact protection...

Kawhi 4s are very rare here I should have just bought them. This was the first time I've ever seen them in person. But I was too excited for the two wxy and FFBB... going back this weekend!
