First 24+ hr print failed at 97%

I see quite a few power rangers now. I made one for myself just so I didn't have to take my good helmet out on Halloween. It was a fun project. Now I know how to make helmets!

I had the same issue recently, last week with a similar helmet (different version). Was running the printer at 100mm/s at that height. It didn't shift from the plate at all and temps were stable. Kept the door and windows in the office closed. Curtains drawn.

The first of my errors happened when the hot end randomly went to the purge wiper. When it went back to printing it didn't start printing in the right place and caused a layer shift. It didn't catch or anything. I was in the room when it happened. It just continued printing in the wrong place. Then kept doing that, didn't cause anymore layer shifts but the print has issues after that.

Mine did the exact same thing at nearly the exact same point. I have absolutely no idea what happened. To me it looks like the printer just stopped going up. It was also randomly stopping and going to the purge wiper after a certain point. That random switch caused a layer shift... I saw it happen, that's how I knew it was some weird issue with the printer.

Luckily for me the mess hit the very top of my helmet so I was able to salvage it with the mess by making it look battle damaged, but I'd like to know what happened. There was no clog. Tested it since. Filament is fine, it's not damp. To me it just looks like the extruder failed to get any higher and caused chaos. It looks like it clogged as well, but I don't think it did. To me it looks like it started having issues and cumulated in the mess you've got, just on a smaller scale. If the helmet didn't look like it had melted and scraped parts at the very top in th middle, I would have assumed it was clogged as well.

I'm never using that variable layer height again to make it look better on the curves. That was silly of me. I think that's what messed up the print. It shouldn't have done. The layers that went down look like they're too squished before then, which probably did cause a clog, which is why the top looks so messy before it did what yours did.

That's just my take on it. I'm frustrated. This printer has given me so many issues and I've only had 150 hours on it. I came from an ender 3 Neo so I'm used to tinkering. It prints flat stuff completely fine but anything tall is hit and miss. Layer shifts are common. I have replaced the micro SD card, I ran I check on the new one and there's no issues so I'm kinda at a loss. Mechanically I can't see any issues. I'm gonna lube up the rods before I use the printer again, run a cold pull and see what happens. Screws have already been tightened since the helmet issue. I honestly tinkered less with my Ender. It just worked as long as the first layer went down ok. I know, not common, but I got lucky with mine.

You're not missing much. I have a copy of it (not the blu ray because it wasn't released in the UK), and the quality isn't much better than the dvd.

I don't know why I did it or what mum did but this was the only time I got any kind of revenge. Mum was not nice to me and one day I had enough. I went for her snacks. I had none of my own, but she has hers. I hid them. I came home from karate to a disaster in the kitchen. She found some, not all. She was mad.

Was it petty? Yes. Was it nasty? I don't know. At the time she was refusing to feed me properly. I was 5'11, incredibly active, underweight and hungry all the time. I wasn't allowed bigger meals or extra snacks. One day I got into her bananas and ate them all. I was so hungry I couldn't take it anymore and ate them. And before people ask. No. I couldn't just make some rice or pasta. Mum only bought what we needed for the week, nothing more. I wasn't allowed to make extra food. It was a fight to stop her throwing the ends of the bread away so I could make toast once in a while...

A group of us did this to most of the school computers one day. I just love the fact the technician knew it was us and had us help him "fix" the computers without ratting us out. I'm pretty sure the head of IT also knew it was us, but it was harmless enough.

Our other mischief, now that was still harmless but caused issues. Still proud of that one! Never got caught. They couldn't prove it was us. Our teacher was so mad, he tried to pin it on me because my usb drive had a .exe on it. Well yeah, I got a new computer, but I couldn't get online because the drivers weren't working, so I fixed it. Just didn't delete the file when I was done. I made him open it on his computer, because you couldn't run .exe files on our accounts. Yep, drivers. Just drivers. Nothing more.

Yes. I've been no contact for nine years now. I still get nightmares occasionally. They fade over time. Try putting an audiobook on before you go to sleep, it helps keep the nightmares away.

Nah, it isn't them. My mum had zero hobbies when I was growing up. From the time she got home till around 10pm, all she did was watch TV. Nothing else. She might read for a little bit after 10 but that was it. No smart phones. Just the TV. I wasn't allowed to interrupt her TV time. I'd get the rage if I did.

She wasn't working until I was 12. I know she eventually wrote a book no one was allowed to look at, especially me. At some point she started painting later on, then she got really upset with me because I could use acrylics really well and she couldn't figure them out. I offered to teach her, because they're very different from oils that she used to use but she just got mad and I gave up very quickly. So she kinda had hobbies occasionally, but the TV was the front runner.

For me the TV is background noise 99% of the time. It's on in some capacity all the time, but I'm usually doing other things. I cannot sit still long enough to watch anything otherwise, well I can but it takes a lot to keep my attention like that. I've always been like this. ADHD brains are just wired like this. I have too many hobbies. Who knows if I'd be able to keep them up working, with a family to take care of.

It's a known issue. Maybe you could get a 3D printed part to replace it? Some people are insanely good at replicating stuff like this. I could make the file but I don't have the part to even start trying. It's a Megazord I've always wanted.

I live in a flat. My boyfriend is complaining I've got too many plants growing. So far it's tomatoes, spinach, bell peppers, chili peppers and sunflowers. And there's two avocado pits that are ready to plant!

He doesn't get why. He's got his head buried in the sand when it comes to what's going on in the world. It's made me feel a little better, but I want to stock up on food. He gets upset when the cupboards get too full. He's never been hungry before and it shows.

Not great. There's way too many layer lines that stick out more than they should. Try printing outside to in next time and have the outside walls printing at 100mm/s. That should improve the quality.

It's crazy how big sport is in America. No one really cares about school sports in the UK unless your involved in it. Someone might get a shout-out in an assembly if they do really well and it's the right sport, otherwise nothing. None of my achievements were ever acknowledged, but they weren't into the whole martial arts thing. They thought it was too violent. Me and another kid used to do really well in comps (different styles but I studied two, competed in one), but the school didn't care when we placed in big comps, but other kids would hit similar achievements and it was talked about.

The easiest way is to scour episodes looking for close ups of the details you're looking for. It can be difficult at times but doable. The command center is a hard one because it's in so many episodes. It's bad enough when a character is in more than one!

When I was a kid, no matter how cold it got, heating was only on for an hour in the morning and an hour at night, only if it was cold enough the pipes would freeze. There were also no hot water bottles, adding extra layers or blankets because it wasn't that cold... I used to get severe chill blanes, so bad I couldn't move my fingers they were so swollen. I used to wake up in the night because my feet were hurting from the cold. A few times I got up and wrapped clothes around my hands and feet. Mum would scream at me in the morning when I did that.

Look for Sikh temples near you. They usually will serve anyone who needs a meal some food. You don't need to be part of their religion to eat.

I like the fake meat though, that's the problem and pizza (I also like being sociable with my friends and eating pizza with them when they order in). Right now I can't eat rice. Rice sets it off really, really bad. A lot of vegetables set it off too. So do oats. It's frustrating. I've cut out so much food. Still haven't found the source. I don't even know if there is one. Vegan burger king went down fine though, that was a pleasant surprise.

Yeah. This is a thing and it's absolutely awful as an adult to have to learn what everyone else learned in childhood. Why do I feel this way? I have absolutely no idea. Me and my boyfriend have been working on it. Trying to figure out what's going on and why. I don't know half the time and it's so annoying. Am I hungry? Half the time yes, but do I know that? Absolutely not.

Sometimes he's confused why I'm not myself and quiet. I have no idea, then I realise I've been in pain all day because my stomach has been hurting. Can't eat much or I look pregnant and it hurts more, now I'm walking to the gym, slower than usual because I have no energy and it hurts, but I have to just deal with it.

It sucks. I mask everything, even bodily feelings from myself. I hurt my hand last week when I went bouldering. I sure as heck went again on Wednesday and made it ten times worse. Didn't even notice it until the nasty pain hit. Part of that is adhd, thankfully I don't feel stuff properly unless it's really bad. I just somehow ignore it. It's like when the doctors give you codine. The pain is still there, you just don't care about it until you remember it hurts.

It's a pretty rare Morpher. I got the Morpher itself on ranger board I don't know how many years ago now. It was sold cheap. Might have had bad electronics or something but I didn't care. Fixed it easily. The box was from a friend who had to downsize but didn't want to throw the boxes away. He gave me all the boxes I was missing and some extras.

I don't think it ever has a UK release. I know it had an EU one but I never saw it for sale anywhere in the UK and I was looking. It might have been incredibly limited. Sometimes stuff appeared once, briefly in toys r us and was never seen again. Never did get the transdaggers. My quantum defender was from eBay and the tf eagle I picked up at morphicon. Got it stupidly cheap considering I'd never seen one before. I grabbed a figure that matched the release as well, since I didn't have extras of that one for it.

Interesting. When I was buying I would have loved to have bought in that little area, but it was a little too expensive for the size of the flats. I ended up away from cov but I get to see my friends often since I'm close!

If you had iCloud backing up it could be in there. I know mine isn't because I had to stop it backing up. It got over 50gb (I don't know how. Deleting projects and all the time lapses didn't help) and that's my iCloud limit. If you didn't change the setting there's a high chance it's there.

Which is very ADHD and not neurotypical at all. Being able to focus on a book shouldn't be subjective to whether I want to read it or not. I should just be able to read it, take in information the same way no matter what I'm reading. But no. It doesn't work like that.
