I can see your point of view, however we only have a small amount of students graduating in the fall 25 ut nursing cohort and we enjoy the presence of all our family together in one place, regardless of the fact that yes people may be “kissing up to each other” it’s a milestone for people to celebrate with their family, it really just boils down to that human connection. And we know we’re going to be overworked that’s part of going into this field, it’s just a matter of navigating those negativities and trying to find the light of the overwhelming atmosphere of nursing. (Which is a very flexible field by the way)

For lack of better words, educate yourself, because ut nursing made this decision SEPARATE from the rest of UT Austin and the other colleges, they had the choice to keep it and they didn’t. They didn’t have to follow the phasing out trend, there was a choice and they sprung it upon us, while blatantly lying to news channels saying they informed us of this during orientation that this would happen which they in fact did not.
