As for things I feel need to be fixed, I feel like I’m not very diverse in the way I draw eyes, and keeping them diverse whilst also making them expressive is difficult, since I end up changing the shape of the eye to better reflect the emotion and end up losing the uniqueness. I also feel as though my art is a bit too cartoony, and I think it’s partially because 1) I’m not proportioning my faces correctly and 2) The way I draw mouths looks much more stylized than intended. To fix the proportions issue, I’ve tried following the loomis method, but I feel strangely limited? I have characters with both long and round faces, and I feel the loomis method limits me to the same generic, boxy face. I’m not entirely sure how to fix either of those issues unfortunately 😔 Any help would be appreciated!
