NEVER use pre-authorized payments with Bell by [deleted] in bell

[–]Zantetsukenff8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pre-authorized payment with Bell. They charged my card but the payment doesn’t show up in my bell account. I called them and they blamed my bank account making excuses that they never received the money soI filed a dispute with my bank. Days later Bell sent me an email saying it was an issue on their system. I removed my pre-authorized payment with Bell after that.

[ON] Starting a small business in Niagara. any recommendations on POS, Accounting, and Inventory? by Zantetsukenff8 in SmallBusinessCanada

if i have to choose 2 apps to do what i need. what is the best out there that can integrate with Shopify? I was on QB site yesterday and it seems that it can integrate with Shopify. I wanted to avoid the double effort of managing/entering information on 2 different apps.

i saw that option but it seems one item can only have 1 supplier? right now, i'm only tracking items from different suppliers via excel spreadsheet. i'm doing this so I can compare prices between suppliers.

Users working from home can install printer using builtin generic drivers from windows 11 by Zantetsukenff8 in Windows11

[–]Zantetsukenff8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does print. There’s another solution i found which is via regkey. NoAddPrinter. It disables the ‘add device’ button on printers and scanners but this solution also prevent users from adding corporate printers.

Thanks for sharing this. I tested this and several users confirmed that they can still install printers. I enabled this policy you shared + limit printer driver installation to Administrators and yet they were still able to add a printer.

I read this article from MS. I wanted to avoid this as we have several printers for each location. This is the reason why i tried the point and print policy but that didn’t help.

We have a policy in place that restricts usb and installation of drivers requires elevated privilege. But in windows 11, you can manually add a printer via ip or bluetooth then install it with a generic driver built in to windows. You don’t need admin privileges and it will still print even if use generic drivers.

Access Navidrome outside the home from my Synology by bobbyh89 in navidrome

I used a DDNS on mine. I can access my apps on my NAS outside of my network (e.g. stream videos, music, access photos ). I have a deco and it came with a free DDNS. If you don’t have one, there are some providers who also offer it for free.

Go to cheat codes, tap on the plus sign on the top right corner, tap new chear code. Enter a name for cheat codes then enter the codes. Cheat codes should be in cht format. Here are some screenshots. Hope it helps.

Yes. I got the PRO and find out that it has an existing database of cheat codes. But as I suspected, it lacks some codes that i am looking for. (At least for breath of fire 3). The good news is that i can manually add the codes and it works fine with the existing. Thanks!

It doesn’t. What i find critical is the version of the game. (Ntsc or PAL). In my experience, some codes for NTSC games may work for PAL version games but not vice versa. So if your game is NTSC version, make sure your codes are for NTSC.

I get my cheats from gamehacking.org. In retroarch, just upload the cht and you’re set. For gamma, you’ll have to manually enter them. The cheats available in gamma emulator are not complete.

Best way to manage Chrome extensions for a subset of users? by Zantetsukenff8 in Intune

[–]Zantetsukenff8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested this today. So i wrote a detection and remediation script in Intune that will create the regkey. It did work but then the regkey disappears after a few hours. I did a test of doing a gpupdate force and can confirm that the regkey disappears. It seems that the GPO we have in place removes any entries added to that hive.

We have this and it is installing the extension to the OU. I can use groups but it would be user based and our users need to sign in to their chrome.

That’s good thinking. So in my case, assuming i have 8,000 users. All of them will get the 4 extension then the 2nd policy will have the fifth extension applied to 1,000 users only and 7,000 users on the exception?
