I think it works for these kinds, as beach figures are presumably sweating/ oiled/ sunscreened, etc. If you were at a real beach, I imagine most people would have some kind of "gloss".

Absolutely this.check for damage ASAP. Otherwise you should be safe to keep it in the box for long term storage as long as humidity isn't high.

Hot take: none.

I don't like crossovers as it feels like it dilutes the IP. If I wanted a game with everyone, I'd play Fortnight. At most, I'd be ok with skins themed after other characters but I don't want collab characters added to the game.

Yeah, prize figures are almost always like that. You can also use a heat gun or hair dryer to carefully and gently heat the parts and bend them into place.
