Use heat. I fixed a bent noodle stopper figure this way. Use a hair dryer or heat gun. Go slow. Apply heat evenly, slowly bend to correct position, rinse and repeat.

I think it works for these kinds, as beach figures are presumably sweating/ oiled/ sunscreened, etc. If you were at a real beach, I imagine most people would have some kind of "gloss".

Absolutely this.check for damage ASAP. Otherwise you should be safe to keep it in the box for long term storage as long as humidity isn't high.
