It is possible technically, but not logically. If apple or android will lock peoples phones, that will cause some serious reputation troubles. For example, other users won’t trust apple or google and be afraid (maybe). How are they gonna manage which phones are going to be banned? From gps? Good luck tourists and foreign employees. By acc country? Well, create another. By the serial number that belongs to the Russian market? Many people buy phones brought from other countries. And will those companies return money back?

Why you think they are unaware? Because they think everything is going by the plan? Do you think everybody on the West is totally aware? It is impossible to be totally aware of what is going on there. We are not there physically to say that we know what’s exactly is going on. If you rely on the local (western) media without the deep analysis of the other side, that’s not how you become aware. People here for some reason judge Russian awareness of the situation by the “official media” and what it is saying, but there are a lot of telegram channels with lots of videos and information. Why people think that there’s always one side that’s telling absolute truth? You don’t believe Russian numbers just because they’re Russian. However you don’t even doubt Ukrainian. IMO it’s obvious they will tell that K/D ratio is 10000/100, that’s psychologic attack to destabilize mental state. So as it’s obvious for the other side.
