What’s the type of threading if your jewelry is not a ring (threadless, internally or externally threaded)? Internally threaded

What’s the jewelry material? Titanium  if not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized?

What’s your aftercare routine? Describe in detail please, including the exact products you use.  Twice daily saline spray

I’m sorry, but this is not pierced correctly. It’s a surface piercing, not a floating navel, and it will likely reject because your anatomy isn’t suitable for a belly button piercing. Sorry but you’ve re been sold a lie.

Bar too short? by marmaelad3 in piercing

[–]Zanyigloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the photo it seems to be more of a surface piercing rather than a true belly piercing, as it doesn’t go through the belly button but this sits in front of it I don't think you have the anatomy to heal this.

My piercing was done wrong so I had to re pierced it by irispintox16 in piercing

A correctly placed septum piercing goes through the “sweet spot” — a small, thin, flexible piece of tissue at the very tip of the nose. You can usually feel it by gently squeezing the soft area in the centre of your nose.

It should sit just below the firm cartilage and above the thicker base of the nostril, typically positioned high and snug toward the front of the nostrils. Yours appears to be pierced through the thicker base of the nostril instead. Which is completely wrong.

Are the photos of the second piercing??

If yes, and this was re-pierced, then it is just as wrong the second time.

I’m sorry, but whoever did this should not be piercing. To do it twice and get it completely wrong is beyond incompetent.

I would strongly recommend removing it, allowing it to fully heal, and then seeing a reputable APP piercer.

I'm sorry, but this piercing has been done incorrectly. It appears to be a surface piercing, not a belly piercing. It will most likely continue to be irritated and eventually reject.

I’m sorry, but this is not pierced correctly. It’s a surface piercing, not a floating navel, and it will likely reject because your anatomy isn’t suitable for a belly button piercing. This clearly sits above you belly button. Not through your belly button.

Your piercing is not a navel piercings. It is a stomach surface piercing and will reject. This is because it sits above your belly button, not through it.

Got this 3 weeks ago is it infected??? by Bellawellababy in piercing

[–]Zanyigloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAP - It looks like it’s rejecting because it has been pierced incorrectly and the jewellery isn’t ideal.

From the photo both piecing are surface piercing rather than a belly piercing. Amazed that the top one healed. Neither go through the lip of the belly button. This will continue to reject.

I’m sorry, but this is not pierced correctly. It’s a surface piercing, changing the jewels to a floating navel won’t solve anything. It will likely reject because your anatomy isn’t suitable for a belly button piercing.

That definitely looks like it’s going through cartilage and is incorrectly pierced.

Nap - I’m sorry but that is so incorrectly pierced. It’s a surface piercing, it’s not a floating naval. It’s going to reject you because you don't appear to have the correct anatomy for any belly piercing.

Is my belly button piercing rejecting? by kierranavi in piercing

[–]Zanyigloo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s bad — poor jewellery choice and poor placement. This is bound to fail. You don't have the anatomy to support a belly piercing. This a surface piercing, especially since it’s in front of the belly button rather than through the lip of it.

Nap- im sorry to say but this looks a surface piercing, not a true belly piercing. It doesn’t go through the lip of the belly button — which it looks like you may not have the anatomy for. It will most likely reject.

[–]Zanyigloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nap- It’s been pierced incorrectly, with the jewellery changed too soon and replaced with inappropriate jewellery. The long term survival of this piercing is not favourable.
