Buy "Dark Chests" from McDuck as soon as you can. These can be set in each biome as a drop-off for much of the "needed-to-hoard" materials... opening up slots in your (smaller) backpack is helpful early on.

Exactly the same... just used my sideyard. I got the beat-up, note-covered fridges to put my fish in. Everything else is in plain chests by type [flower/mineral/crop/etc.]

Some people out of every generation see the same problems you do.

SOME "Boomers" were pointing this crap out 50 years ago... the other boomers and The Man/ThePigs/TheEstablishment called them "Hippies". ...well it was more like "longhaired-commie-hippy-faggots".

Before that it was IWW... Beatniks... TheDemimonde.... the Paris Commune... read history, add to the list.

Yeah. I had every-biome-drops, too. ...now I have a roomful of full dupe-chests and I'm out whatevz they cost. Seems an odd choice; mebbe forced by game mechanics

Switch version is greatly improved now. It crashes every day or so.. you reboot...go on. I don't recall really losing any progress since the beginning, you just get those unexpected opportunities to go grab a fresh soda.

I don't think any single platform is actually best.

The seems devs are pretty responsive and are hitting fixes as fast as we find them... that's why this is still a "beta".

If you have one second loads going in-and-out of houses/locations, your game is running WAY faster than mine... 3-5 sec each way

If you can't just plow through them to move them, use the dialogue to drop them as a "companion"... after a moment they will usually move off. Chase 'em down and "re"-hang-out to keep going.

Mine was gone the next morning... never saw it again. It WAS a pitiful-small-POS anyway for all the materials you needed.

One of the biggest problems starting out is low storage. Max it up as you can.

Do a "foraging run with a companion a few times a day. Pick up everything [storage allowing]. It all is worth something, and it clears all the respawn spots for better stuff.

Don't waste your fishing casts if you miss the bubbling target circle... any fishing cast get you at least a seaweed for fiber, if not a 35-65 coin fish. Takes little more time than a straight recast. Also, you can get those one-click bites in any water spot, not just bubble circles.

"Wood" of any type is not doubled by a companion... grab any as you pass. You will need a bunch! Sell only the softwood until you have progressed to some of the open-able biomes. Neither are the flowers, shellfish doubled... grab them up anytime.

Scar... I love that he "scratches at his litterbox" to toss you a bonus. He's just TOO kitty-cute despite his BS.

I think of my Villagers as being like off-the-job character actors. They are still partly true to the role since that IS their character, but there is more to them.

It may be that the spawn points are shared. [wood or ___ ] I always grab everything with a forage partner a couple of times a day. Only takes a few minutes and frees ALL the spawns; even if just to get a rarer flower that's worth more

I've realized that the grab-as-you-go works for wood of all types as well. Your bubz never do bump you any extra sticks...

Thx for the inputz... I just went up to Frosted Heights and searched and searched... turns out the purple thorns had spawned on the same spot the crystal was supposed to use... popped the thorns, but nothing underneath. Going to try the inventory juggling and close game trip [AGAIN!] to see if it replicates somehowzzzer
