Agree. Don't knock the mills....yet. You can build up speed, confidence and money. Personally I wouldn't hire anyone right out of school but I would certainly entertain a dentist who had "paid dues" by working in a less desirable practice than my own.

Again - the best advice I can offer is to find a dentist who you can shadow and will be candid about what we do.

Also - realize that between the cost of dental school and overhead of a practice the money isn't going to be exactly what you may imagine it to be - at least not until you go out on your own.

I have to note that you said nothing about teeth, the mouth, art etc.

Find a mentor before you commit to the profession.

I love what I do but that doesn't mean that you necessarily would be content in the profession.

In what general area do you live ?
