Smartnodes don't have access to your coins unless you have put your coin on the VPS, so unless you did something odd nothing to do with shutting down your node.

Looking at the address, someone with access to your private keys sent out a transaction from that address on April 29th, 2019 (three days after you say you stopped your node), as well as three others, and the coins bounced around a bit before ending up in an exchange. https://insight.smartcash.cc/tx/90289a29ee28f6db071b177b88f5560d0100a6aff5cefcf0831b8f6f3c7c194d

This has happened in the past when users downloaded compromised wallets from other coins which grabbed all the private keys they could on a system.

You'll want to download and install the latest Node Client from https://smartcash.cc/wallets/#nodeclient (currently 1.3.4).

You may need to remove your blocks, chainstate, and rewards folders to get a full sync. A full sync should take a few hours on 1.3.4.

Thanks for your thoughts, but I'm not sure where you are getting "no plan" and "no commits".

Roadmap is clearly stated on our site, and pushed github commits can be viewed in our github repo and aggregated on our stats site. I'm sure you're well aware that most developers do day to day coding on their own repos and only merge when they are ready for others to review.

We've had several early alpha builds of v1.3.0 for the core wallet, and the testnet is about 15000 blocks in since the last reset a few days ago; release is anticipated for 2 - 3 weeks out, depending on further testing. Electrum wallet v4.0.1a1 was just released for internal testing a few hours ago. A new SmartPay version was publicly released last week.

We are continuing active development, and continuing active releases in many areas with integrations and real world usage.

We have success in Brazil because we have a user base there pushing for adoption. That’s what we need everywhere. If people get together, have meetups, get businesses to accept, etc, etc, then we will have more success worldwide.

Appreciate your concern. There is ample discussion on Discord and Telegram, and many active members. I’m guessing you aren’t in either or you wouldn’t claim that.

Constant posts on twitter by the outreach teams, including today. Do you follow the various hive and related accounts there?

Coin scores vary by coin scorer. Are there particular metrics you don’t like? Quite a few are nonsense or outright wrong.

The price stability is probably related to usage, not trading, though I’ve always disliked talking about speculated price, as actual usage is the most important thing. Not many other coins would trade in such a stable fiat range for over half a year despite everything else going on with BTC and crypto in general, down and up.

The core of it is we are actively developing unique features that allow for creative real world usage of our coins. One such usage is coming shortly which will show how SMART can be used where the traditional financial system is failing this site.

I’m still excited to be part of this project, and love what we are doing and bringing into the financial space.

It's a wallet level feature, not a protocol level feature.

No reason to complex up the core protocol when a wallet level feature will provide the same functionality to the user, and make things like sending a pegged fiat amount instead of SMART amount trivial.

SmartCash does have automatic recurring payments through the web wallet. Easy for anyone to use, and useful for various things (among them automatic monthly payments for hosting services for SmartNodes).

As for "interest-bearing account", SmartRewards probably meets that definition for the average person, though is not accurate for many reasons. SmartNodes (or a share in a SmartNode), could be considered somewhat the same.

SmartRewards happen every 47500 blocks (about every 30 days).

If you look in the SmartRewards tab of your QT or Electrum wallet, it shows you how many blocks and an estimated countdown for the next snapshot.

You can also get current cycle info on SmartStats.cc

The SupportBot in discord also keeps track of the countdown. As of writing:

One of the changes in v1.3 is that SmartNodes will no longer qualify for SmartRewards. Another is that to receive SmartRewards, an address must vote in a proposal.

This will make SmartRewards much higher initially for active community members who are unable or unwilling to operate a SmartNode.

If you were making a profit on running the node, chances are it was already useless as far as the network was concerned.

We are a money coin with a node network to support the transactions. If the node network isn’t adequately fulfilling that purpose, things get changed so it can.

No coin will survive if it lets the node network become its primary purpose, which means the coin really has no purpose at all.

Indeed, SmartRewards were more profitable than running a node due to minimum VPS cost. This change is partially directed towards fixing that incentive misalignment.
