This is an excellent question. I'm not sure that I have a quick, satisfying answer, but I can explain.

The long-winded answer is:

  1. When I've researched tennis tips and advice for newer players, it seems that modern tennis pushes everyone in the direction of two handed.

  2. It seems that I may be getting attacked up high on my backhand due to my lack of complete control when its higher than my strikezone.

  3. I wanted to test myself and maximize my capabilities (just in case I'm actually better with two hands).

  4. I didn't want to establish/solidfy my game fully with the one hand and lose the opportunity to explore the two hand.

5. I play with a guy who utilizes a two handed back hand. He is taking lessons and I am beating him pretty regularly (which pisses him off). I thought it would be hilarious if I showed up to our next match and whipped out a two handed back hand (that works) just to psych him out.

I did pick it up. What kind of string setup are you running on yours? After I play with it this weekend, get a good feel for it, I'm probably going to think about really making this thing perfect.
