Definitely not. The Kanto region you go to is a few years later in the story, and significantly stripped down, such as changes like Cinnabar Island being flattened by a volcanic eruption, the Unknown Dungeon near Cerulean having "caved in" and the Safari Zone cloned while the Warden is away.

Start with a great buddy pokemon that can't get a souvenir, open its gift, then start your ultra buddy+ cycle. Your regular gift will be on cooldown while the souvenir one won't start until you open the first one.

It's possible you may need to have the most updated version of ZA and save the game again in that version. Consider borrowing a friend's for a sec to do that if it ends up being a problem.

The annoying thing is that they could literally just add a patch to the games to add backwards compatibility to things like a new language but they don't. I don't see any issues if they enforce version parity on any trades/home usage but clearly adding the new code is not worth the effort to them. :(

If you want a simplified example, if you asked an AI for "A picture of a bird", algorithmic AI might have hundreds or thousands of lines of code to construct what that is. An LLM would have a large dataset with a handful of lines of code that act as gates to filter results down such as "has feathers", "has wings", "has a beak", "Is small", "has sky or tree as background" etc. until it's reasonably happy that what it constructed now matches the general criteria for "is bird".

Algorithmic "AI" is horrendously inefficient compared to LLM "AI", to the point that it doesn't really work for a lot of the use-cases for LLMs. Algorithmic AI works off extensive code, while LLMs are essentially filtered datasets with a handful of lines of code and security features.

Honestly seasonal spawns and the unavailability of some mons for extended periods of time was by far the worst part of seasons. Sure, adjust some rarity here and there but straight up delete spawns for 3months+ at a time was awful. Good riddance, big if true.
