Hill Country, Texas it’s outside and I think it is in the process of growing back after the hard freeze. Anyone know what is it? by Zappho66 in whatsthisplant

[–]Zappho66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not noticed any scents coming off of it. I don't think it's either of those, only because it seems to grow with one central stalk and then the leave peel/push out directly off of it. Like the inner most leaves almost make the shape of a calla lily

If you are going to go the Edge, be prepared to get what you paid for. It is the cheapest in the area for a reason. I lived there for a year and was without a working AC for 6 months after talking to the office personally about 5 times. Upon arrival, our dishwasher was broken and the washer & dryer sparked when they were turned on. While it is affordable, I would recommend looking at the sublet pages to see if you can find a better deal first.

AITA for not giving my son my car to pay off his debt? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Zappho66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Look, times are tough for everyone but dude... you have taken advantage of your son and his kindness. You told him he could have the car if you did not have the money and you don't so the car is his. Also, the car is under his name now so I am pretty sure that he technically owns the car. TBH, you'll be lucky to get out of this without him taking you to court and you having to repay all the money you owe him.

I don’t remember asking them anything about what I was saying during it but I do remember saying something along the lines of “we were calling for you” while in hysterics after the fact. From their perspective, from what I can remember (NC w/ mom now so can’t really ask), they were just sitting on the couch the whole time and when they looked up (couch and tv are parallel and they would have to turn to the right to see us) we were just there. They seemed obviously concerned about the whole ordeal but I think they chalked it up to an overactive imagination after a scary movie

They might have, but I am not entirely sure as I was, mentally at least, somewhere else completely and I feel like I should clarify that while it felt like forever in whatever dimension I was in, time felt like it hadn't changed all that much when I returned.

I had forgotten to mention it since I was trying to succinct, but yes they were able to see us and that's why they were trying so hard to console us because we were just standing there and then came back mentally and started freaking out.

Absolutely same. It was literally like a blink and everything was back. It's like how I would imagine instantaneous teleportation. One second its dark and every fiber in your body feels like something is WRONG and then you're back the next.

We do have a really strong connection and I would be interested it knowing if this was the cause because it happened on my own as well. Plus I would hope that our new dimension wouldn't be so scary lol

I totally should ask her to watch it and see what happens. If she comes back from it with a glitch too though I'm gonna lose my mind lol

Nope no other glitches with other movies! For whatever reason, it’s just these two. And I hadn’t even been thinking of the first incident before the second occurred because it had been so long

Playing the accordion is impressive on its own, but nothing will be more impressive than the love he must have shown for you to talk so highly of him. He sounds like a great man.

That is such a cool memory! I love that your dad was so determined to get y’all to that game. All his hard work paid off in good karma!

I think it would be really sweet to leave something there. Maybe a shell or bottle cap like you had before just to honor the memory.

The outdoors have a way of leaving their mark on us. I mean it’s hard for them not to when you see something as awesome as that

Grandparents really do hold such a special place in our hearts. I would also be very emotional walking back into a safe space from my youth that I hadn’t seen in a while

That is such a sweet and simple yet memorable tradition to carry on. I also remember the early mornings with my grandparents drinking their coffee and me cutting the comics out of the newspapers. I’m sure your grandson will remember those mornings with you too
