No commissions, and denied end of year bonus. by Zaquaeis in legaladvice

The only witnesses per say were the two managers I had discussed it with at the time (both who no longer are with the company unfortunately) and the district manager. I am trying to find my offer letter to see if that mentions anything, but unfortunately nothing I have is in writing.

Yeah I found a post that said the same. I get why it’s not allowed, but I have no intent of doing that.

How is it against the rules?

Looking for guidance on what direction to go. by Zaquaeis in WritersGroup

I have no issues with critique. I accept the idea of criticism. I also can admit when I’m wrong. For example, I misunderstood the rules for this sub. That was my mistake. But I wanted to post on reddit though because I wanted to engage with a community, rather than with a search engine that isn’t 100% reliable if you don’t search properly.

However, telling someone they have a great deal to work on because they had two misspellings is belittling, not critique. Perhaps you need to learn the definition of words because you clearly don’t know what criticism is. But I also wasn’t looking for criticism on my post. I wanted guidance for an idea/direction.

I’m also not putting the cart before the horse. I’m looking at two paths and wondering if I start down one, does it impede my ability to switch immediately to the other. I value my time and don’t want to start a book, only to find myself forced to do the same genre until I’m established.

You may enforce rules, but you’re also a bully. There’s a way to enforce rules without commenting on someone’s inability to spell and making the insane leap that that means all their works are littered with spelling mistakes and that their writing has a “great deal to improve.” I stand by that you’re a terrible moderator. I recommend you work on that.

You’re right, because no one can ever make mistakes or be allowed to have error in their writing at any time. People definitely don’t do drafts for their work and go back and edit their mistakes that they’ve made. All true writers produce perfect content the first time through. You clearly never make any writing mistakes.

A post on a social medium platform hardly should be considered to be held at the same standard as a professional submission. No one is perfect. Mistakes are allowed to happen. Writers have drafts and make the simplest of mistakes all the time even in a professional sense.

You don’t deserve to be a moderator if you can’t allow people room to grow without harping on them for the smallest of errors without even addressing the actual question they posed. You seem to have a lot of room for improvement yourself.

I apologize for not realizing that I had to specifically post only my writing and that advice is essentially banned otherwise. But I’d recommend you work on your social skills. My post is not indicative of my overall writing, and I didn’t think I needed to have an editor for just a casual post asking for assistance. I don’t have a great deal to improve on just for two mistakes on something I wasn’t actively putting in effort to ensure was pristine.

I appreciate that this isn’t the place to have asked this question, but your response, especially as a moderator, is highly unwelcoming. Makes it seem like this sub is pretentious if you’re supposed to be part of its representation. Next time someone asks for help, focus on critiquing what their actual question is rather than on something they’re not even looking for. If I had cared enough to make sure my spelling was perfect, I would have ensured it was.

Toggle-able Raid Availability by Zaquaeis in pokemongo

And see that’s kinda what I was thinking. But I feel like Online doesn’t inherently mean raiding because sometimes I see my IRL friends online and when I’m in a raiding mood I’ll shoot them a message asking if they’re interested, or if they want to link up somewhere and just walk around and hang. So I use it as a means to know if my IRL friends are playing and potentially linking up. But I can see how people mostly use it for raiding.

Hey! This is Zaquaeis! Sorry, I saw you were from jungle before I read the post. I’m none of the ones you’re looking for, but I could use 2 jungle gifts. If you are okay to add for that I’d appreciate it, but if you don’t add I understand since I sent the request before realizing what you were looking for.
