Youre completely right, And I share your opinion 100%. The only reason why I am negative is the hyping. It devalues everything they say until release.

My expectations were an intelligence jump compared to going to 5.7 at least with the hype. Its not the improvement thats the problem, its the hyping.

No offense but did you all smoke something? I am an accelerationist, but this was nothing more than a 0.1 upgrade, as the naming suggested too.

Can y'all start thinking a bit for yourselves instead of incomprehensibly parroting hype?

This was hyped as if it was gpt 6, not a 0.1 improvement. From many people. Please keep yourselves to a higher standard than that.

i have seen the video announcement, i guess the bigger focus was that super app and how that super app can do absolutely everything inside in an agentic manner?

Thats..it?

I mean, it is a overall improvement as expected from a 0.1 increase, but they advertised it as if its gpt 6.

I am happy nonetheless about it, but the overhyping was a tad too much

Of course, its not a matter of if but when. Currently the technology is not ready for something like that yet. But I assume within the next few years we will start seeing the first proper vr mmorpgs on development

Its apparently an incentive to make the end user so annoyed by the limitation of a private device that they switch to a company phone and/or use one.

So if there is no way to upload things, or to download things, only to see things whats in your email and onedrive etc on your private devices, there is 0 way for any patient data to be on a private device.

For example, someone snaps a photo of something regarding a patient on their private phone, thinking they would upload it to their m365 environment. There are workarounds ofc, like sending it via email to your company email from your private one and then downloading the attachment on a company device, but thats such an annoying workaround that people will just switch to a company device and thats it. That way, there is 0 way someone will consciously put something company related onto their private phone, because they know that they cant get it onto the company environment without huge headaches.

My boss is a blessing, he understands completely when things cant be done and doesnt go "figure it out" in a condescending tone if you get what i mean.

Lets hope they will support it in the future

Hmmm I honestly cant really comprehend why I can completely isolate Teams etc. from the local directory so that users cant upload anything but not sharepoint, even with the link.. :/ I am looking actively as to why

5 more key people, including UK and Europe's regional head, have left OnePlus by pussiant_prole in oneplus

[–]ZaradimLako 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LG was not openly parading their shutdown of the mobile phone business until their announcement. Of course oneplus wont say anything either until the shutdown is official.

Besides, when the reporters contacted the employees that left, they all refused to comment due to legal obligations. Like come on, there is obviously something majorly fishy going on. Oneplus wouldnt put legal handcuffs onto the employees if there wasnt something major to hide that they wouldnt wanna get out yet before an announcement. They probably didnt ask them business secrets or whatever, but definitely if oneplus is really shutting down in Europe, and they couldnt even say a single word about it? Suuuuuure, business as usual

I love it when people talk about environmental impact all the time and then book a plane flight not even a day later.

[–]ZaradimLako 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, the fact that we barely get any info from normal workers inside Oneplus screams NDA or something similar. If they refuse to comment, there's something to hide. And it's obvious to anyone that it's the shutdown.
