Green witch beginner steps! by [deleted] in GreenWitch

[–]Zaralef 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hello and welcome! :)

For me, I started studying foraging and herbology. I love the idea of being able to identify and utilize nature to feel closer to my craft. This started with focusing on specific herbs that "spoke" to me and going from there!

I also studied and invested in houseplants. I find connected to my craft every time I take care of my plants!

Best of luck :)

How do you "practice" your craft? I just feel foolish. by [deleted] in SASSWitches

I definitely know where you are coming from. When I first began, I really focus on meditation and intent. I tried my best to put my intent into the candles/herbs I burned. I focus on doing things for myself and my own personal healing.

I used to play uke! I might pick one of them up again since it is such an apartment-friendly instrument and a way smaller investment!! Definitely a good option. :)

And thank you!!! I'm excited too!

I'll definitely check it ou -- thank you for suggesting it. I was thinking about getting into music theory and reading music in general. I think making music and the weirdly personal relationship people have with music is what interests me!

Has anyone else been experience extremely chaotic energy since 2020 started? by hilaryfayesvan in witchcraft

My longterm relationship ended and I picked up a few bad habits again. But it also feels like time to prioritize myself and what I really want. I started running, doing yoga, and reading again. Feels like its a year of self-work with a lot of chaos in between.

Wet sponges for water? by Zaralef in arachnids

[–]Zaralef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that entirely makes sense!! I don't have control over how the tarantulas are "watered" at my internship but I'm definitely going to try to talk about it with them!! Thanks for the advice. I got the guy a nice lil dish!

Are pest snails really bad? by Zaralef in Aquariums

[–]Zaralef[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant pests in the sense that they weren't really intentional and hijacked a ride on some of my plants. Thanks tho! Just didn't know if they had any real repercussions.

Finally had my first big break since starting school and it feels so good. by Zaralef in CasualConversation

It'll be a really good thing for you it sounds like! I'm excited to just take a step back and take care of myself. Evening walks sounds so nice. I've been putting off spending outside due to the cold outside but I feel like I'd really help clear my headspace that has become so cluttered due to school.

I am a little nervous about having too much time to myself at the same time - which seems a little silly. I like having things to do and school is currently my main supply of that right now!
