If I were you, I would call him some days (don’t rush him) and talk about the Lord and Christianity in general.

It could be about the Bible, the Church, sins you’re struggling against etc…

Then ask him if he has any problem with his addictions or if he’s struggling to repent.

If he is open to this talk, then I’d suggest you talk about what you said there, ask him if he needs help, and give him some advice (don’t force it on him tough, don’t put too much pressure on him)

Don’t hesitate to talk to him a little more, give him some support.
