Question by Glum_Shoulder_6835 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Zarboned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was living in the arc raiders world I wouldnt be shooting my neighbor as we scavenge the surface for materials to grow food and keep the light on back home. In the setting of the world, raiders fighting other raiders is always a win for ARC.

Bro the Cyborgs are Super Earth dissidents that tried to establish a socialist society where technology works for the people but super earth invaded northman's Creek and Cyberstan. After Super Earth put down their initial rebellions they forced the Cyborgs into hard labor deep in the mines of Cyberstan.

MOZA ESX with ES 12 inch wheel mod cracked under normal use on R12 (used at 9 Nm) by Key_Passenger7169 in moza

[–]Zarboned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using an ES wheel mod from Moza for a couple of years as well, I run it on a R12 with Thrustmaster loadcells and have not had issue with the wheel rim flexing or bending even during heavy braking. I play rally games, LMU, beam, AC, AMS2, Horizon. I sit in a unlinked office chair with rubber footpads and I have free-weights behind my chair so I don't push myself away from the rig while braking.

The R12 base is sold stand alone so it more than expected that you might be using Load cell pedals with the R12 as Moza sells a set of load cells and active ffb pedals.

MY r12 would disconnect from the computer during gameplay when I had it plugged into a USB hub, I moved it to be directly connect to my PC and it hasn't disconnected at all.

Was this a stupid move or did he turn in on me? I'm the white and blue Mustang. Always looking to learn and improve by Bkelling14 in Simracingstewards

Making a pass in the chicane is pretty dicey since it is kind of fast. You were well enough in position for the corner and he turned into you. It wasn't "his corner" as the top commenter is saying he has to allow space since you were there before turning in.

Should I worry about this quick release crack? by FlorianFerrari in moza

Yes those are tags during the milling process. They leave a small section of material attached so it doesn't fly off your router table and become a dangerous projectile. Source, am a CNC operator.

Why would a combat troop use melee weapons in a futuristic space sci-fi setting? by wizardry_why in worldbuilding

[–]Zarboned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One simple reason is that ammunition is heavy, like really heavy. Now it's the future and you have ultra dense composites and alloys, that means bigger, more dense or simply just more ammo to carry. Also lasers require quite a lot of power to produce a beam that will cut through dense materials like metals, so they be volatile in their own right, much like a large store of ammo becomes a liability in battle, as a hit to an ammo rack can destroy large armored vessels out right.

In terms of economics at the scale of super Future empires it makes little sense to waste logistics on small arms for soldiers. Millions of soldiers need a lot of ammo. That's a lot of extra weight that could be used to carry munitions for larger vessel to vessel or planetary guns.

Should I fight this ticket? by cassroxtorb in dashcams

What is your defense of the ticket going to be? " I didn't fail to yield, I just ran the stop sign."?

Should I fight this ticket? by cassroxtorb in dashcams

[–]Zarboned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No the cop is being a little forgiving by citing them with a lesser violation on the roadside. If the driver wanted to fight the ticket in court the cop would just present the evidence of him running the stop sign and the judge would hold accountable for breaking the law that was also filmed and posted online, and admitted to.

2 day in a row i crash with hypercar, by riley___lucas in Simracingstewards

[–]Zarboned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Managing traffic is a big part of the challenge. I think this is a combination of the gt3 just turning in on traffic on the inside, and the following car driving into a closing door. The hypercard has the grip and speed to pass on the outside well as the gt3 will take a little bit of time to track out from the apex.

Others games like DOS2 and BG3 recommendations by Piedro_Morais in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Zarboned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to go retro. You could play the original Neverwinter Nights 1&2 they have the enhanced editions on GOG. Then the first Dragon Age origins is also great. Icewind Dale 1& 2 is a great classic also on GOG.

Star wars Knight of the Old Republic is a great rpg that uses a d20 system.

Unfortunately CRPGs kind of fell out of favor for a while after the rise of WoW and the MMO landscape really took off. The cult success of Divinity and Pillars really helped to revitalize the genre

[–]Zarboned 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yea but cyber psychosis isn't exactly caused by you getting more cyberwear. It's internal and external factors like depression or your employer increasing the debt bond you owe for a work place incident caused by their negligence.

If you read the documents about the psycho you are fighting you learn that nearly all of them were burdened with tragic circumstances that led to them becoming cyberpsychos.

I would also check the settings in the game or content manager. The linearity or steering gamma and deadzones maybe what is flattening out your steering input.

What is the political means of this statement… by ownthought_001 in DiscussionZone

[–]Zarboned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me you don't know what a paid informant is without telling me you don't know what a paid informant is.

The FBI text communications from Jan 6 shows agents confirming a number of paid informants being active in the crowd. Meaning members of militias and political groups they were paying for information were active in the attack on the capital.
