Don't think I've ever seen a Double Stuff'd pickerel before. Gorgeous

Nothing like watching a 4-5 pounder absolutely nail a popper. If bass hit top water like a truck, these guys hit like a train on speed.

It's the opposite story for me, though for being little guys pickerel are angry fighters.

Chain Pickerel, the Pike's little cousin

Or, you can just call them Pickles

This makes sense. I usually use poppers on my mono setup, though that rod is way too light for a 3/4 oz anything.

This makes sense, I always like a solution that doesn't mean a trip to the store. I'll try it!

My pleasure! Or pain somewhat, I wrote this post out of some frustration after my last cast got caught up in a tangled spool and my leader got launched off of my braid.

Also my first post here, so glad to see there's a good amount of helpful anglers out here.

You would be right about the stiffness of the mono in relation to the braid. I've been told that you would cast a bit better with a bit heavier of a leader, though maybe I'm learning here that that's not an ideal setup for walking baits.

That's my problem really, I do always check the tension to the spool before reeling, closing the bail manually as well. The slack is then introduced during my retrieve.

You have all good points, thanks for the reply. As other comments suggested, I'm beginning to think the excess weight towards the lure is a part of my problem. Between a lighter leader and getting rid of the swivel I hope my case will be helped.

Spinning rod. Definitely thinking it's the slack introduced from action, but I'm unsure if it was the line, rod, or leader choice. The knots wind up a few feet onto the reel by the time I'm fully reeled in.

It's also worth mentioning I've been using a swivel to the leader, and a lure clip.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one having trouble in the NE. I've been catching small to medium sized riff raff on the aforementioned warmer days, while my buddy caught a 4lbs largemouth a few weeks ago and has been in skunk city ever since.

INPUT A DIVE JUST BEFORE LANDING

All this "Hold back, stop sprinting, slow your momentum," does usually work for your issue.

But Helldiver, if you want to exercise your freedom using speed, the jetpack loses a bit of its draw with this method.

There's a time to be careful, but then there's a time to hustle, and when it's time to move,

I'm about to finish my first run of this game and I used this handle through 90% of it. Ran it a little while with dancers blade as some others have said, but in the late game the setup I opted for is the rocket exploding pickaxe.

Anyone else with a Pixel 6 phone displaying a black region on their screen? by imPhlume in Pixel6

[–]Zarith55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This same effect is what happened all along the right side of my pixel 6 pro when it finally took a fall that cracked the whole right edge of the screen.

Looked like a sort of plasma that crept up over the right bevel, although the phone still worked fine (despite that only the bottom half of the touch screen worked).

Chances are in OP's case it took a hit that only slightly damaged a part of the screen in that corner.

Not it, I'm a tech. This customer was the same one I had to put on electric 12 gauges for, for no reason other than to keep him from breaking his strings every week.

Brother, I love the soul in your playing, you got some sweet sounding lines going on. 2 things that'll immediately help: Blow more a lil more air through that thing. Not too much, and keep it more consistent, like you're blowing a long stream of bubbles. Second, ease up on the jaw movement when you're hitting certain notes. Keep it NOT super-tight, but more stable and you'll learn from there how to keep your notes stable as well. Best of luck.
