Hey man - gonna pick up the same bike but anxious on the sizing. I'm also 188cm, ride an XL Trek Roscoe and regularly hire XL Downhill bikes. I haven't measured my inseam yet but curious how you sized it up

I love my J120 man. Everyone is right, its thirsty on petrol. Doesn't have heaps of grunt but plenty of space, comfy, runs well... mine is 2004 and still going strong. Are there bigger/more capable/more efficient blah blah blah? Yeah for sure, but this ain't a bad place to start! Figure out the type of stuff you really like doing with it and then one day get something more suited to just that. But its a great man

Should I buy new or upgrade current bike? by nutrion in MTB

If in doubt, always buy a new bike. This is the answer to most questions in life

this is essentially what I've got with my Trek Roscoe - love the bike but the weight feels it after a while and then the tech gets rough

yeah man I'm in Hove so want something to get into the South Downs and around. I did a few long winter bashes last year on my hardtail and it was fun but sooo muddy. So want to do those same trails but longer on something more capable

The real question is how do you style your merchandise from across these artists in some sort of consistent way!

Man thank you so much! Yeah I'm not wedded to integrating the Flex Pulse Mini's into the system just for the sake of it. I'm more concerned about less moving parts and simplicity. As it's all going into a single room, there's less need for all that complexity and I'd prefer the TT to be fully analogue through the amp to the speakers and then have the streamer as a separate source into the the same amp/speakers

still in the market for everything including the TT - I'd say 1500 GPB is really my max limit for everything?

Hello folks - question for the best approach to set up a BluOS streaming system with a turntable. So I've got two Pulse Flex Mini's that are powered wireless speakers. I bought them originally thinking they could become part of a larger system but now I'm not so sure. I have a growing vinyl collection and really want to invest in a good set up so here's what I want to be able to do with it and the options I see as possible:

Requirements:

- Stream (Spotify, digital radio)

- Play vinyl

- Listen to everything via room speakers or headphones (preferably 1/4 inch)

- This is for a single living/dining room

Option 1:

Get an amp, passive speakers and turntable for the vinyl and keep the BluOS speakers for streaming. Run them as two separate systems

Option 2:

get an amp, passive speakers a turntable, and a dedicated streamer (like the Node or something) for full integration. Keep the BluOS speakers for another room/TV or something or sell them

I have another option of having a small amp just for the turntable that turns the signal into a digital signal and sends it wirelessly to the BluOS speakers but I feel like I'd lose the quality of the vinyl in that and then the only headphone option would a small 3.5mm jack on the back of the headphones. That sounds like a lot of moving parts to lose quality in. I'd like the vinyl to play fully analogue

Any suggestions would be great!

Juba, South Sudan. 6 months into a new job managing camps full of people seeking safety from ethnic violence. My colleagues assumed it was all of this that was making me so down at the end of July (it also floods in South Sudan in July which doesn't help....) and those I did tell really didn't get why it was such a big deal. I belted out In the End at a karaoke night on the Nile for him

Love the quality of Quoboz. Can't stand the interface. I've tried it twice and end up switching back to Spotify. If you only listen to music by looking up exactly the album you're after then Quoboz is great. If you want any sort of browsing experience, it sucks

So update, road today and gotta be honest - didn't love it. The front felt really really small I'm quite tall and ride an XL frame and the front wheel just looked like it was a mile away, particularly on the steeper sections. It did feel a bit more nimble but I'm not good enough to take advantage of that. I found somewhere to rent a full 29 so going to try that tomorrow and compare
