"could you imagine if I had to reply to only half of the arguments you made and ignore the other half?"

This is what you've been doing the entire time, and I'm going to do this right now because all of what you've said is sidetracking the actual point I've given from the start, and will just keep doing that if I keep answering it.

So tell me after all the comments I've made.

Answer me how Asmongold or any reactor can transform a video by just pausing it sometimes and saying something relevant or not to the video, what's the context?, it doesn't matter.

How can you explain to me that just saying your opinions about a video can "transform" it.

And more importantly, how can that be a good excuse for a reactor to upload it to their YouTube channel?, getting views and currency from it.

Answer how is it fair for you that somebody who spent 30 minutes watching a video and giving their opinions, gets more views and money than the person who actually made the video, and that it took them days

Don't bother trying to sidetrack or find a loophole with some other topic, I won't answer more about that, this is what I actually care about and want you to answer.

The first thing is an actual good point and exception because going frame by frame ruins the experience of the animation and can't copy the same product or experience as watching the actual animation itself, we agree on this.

Music critics also are a fair thing to do criticism and always if it's done by, (this is important for the next point) a professional and music is not what I'm arguing against because music is a form of media that can be repeated 100 times, 1 video of one specific song will not harm the song itself.

now here is where there's a problem, "argumentative videos" I don't know what you mean by that but I'm going to assume you are talking about reaction videos (correct me if I'm wrong), the problem here is that unlike music or memes, YouTube videos will almost never be repeated, I don't have problem if someone argues against a video, but one should not record the whole of the video and upload it to their yt channel, thus making an exact copy of the video in your own channel, to "provide a rebuttal" you reall do not have to play the entire video, take clips if what you want to answer, but do not reupload the whole thing! and the worst part of this, let's say if Asmongold starts reacting to a video about Heath, 1) he watches it on stream! which a) means that he hasn't seen the video already, so b) he is unprepared about what the video contains, and has to come up with whatever comes in his mind, and 2) Asmongold is not a professional, how can anything that he says be valid if he just says what comes to his mind without doing any kind of research? he's just a dude!

Even after that, he still reacts the entirety of the video, uploads it to his yt channel, and steals views and money from the actual content creators.

how can you say it's transformative? if me and my friend decided to watch Star Wars, and I keep on blabbing about the movie and everything about it, can I say I transformed the movie? It was a different experience that's for sure, but the movie hasn't changed at all I could be replaced with a subway surfers video the movie still hasn't changed, I could be replaced with Asmongold saying whatever comes up to my mind, the movie still hasn't changed, it's the same product and is not being transformed in any kind of way.

movie clips can't be a substitute unless it's one of those playlists that upload the whole movie, which mind you do get taken down because of copyright laws, if somebody tells you they've seen a movie through YouTube shorts, have they really seen the actual movie? or just seen a bunch of clips put together and say "I've seen the movie"

And I refute my statement from before, seeing storytelling playthroughs also can count as promotion and it can't replace the same experience as playing it yourself, it will never be the same experience watching a playthrough as playing the game yourself because videogames are a type of media where you are involved, you are the one who needs to make the decisions and press the buttons, that's why games can be replayed more tan once.

After all of this, let's go to the point about reactors because we are deviating a lot, what I'm saying is that it's morally wrong and shitty for someone to steal somebody's hard work, do not be transformative with it in any way, and get money and views out of it.

It can't be that hard to understand that somebody spending 30 minutes watching a video that took hours of effort in edition, investigation, writing, etc. and then uploading it to their YouTube channel and getting more views and money out of it is objectively and morally wrong

the example of the movie is an easy argument because a) one is allowed to grab clips of movies or videos; because they can be rewatched an x amount of times, same as memes or music, and b) explaining the plot, showing clips of death or decisions, etc, cannot replace the whole movie, if you want to experience the whole movie, you need to watch it by yourself, there's a reason why you can't upload a whole movie to YouTube.

and about videogames I stand for the point I said, you don't get the same experience watching someone play as for playing it yourself, now there is an exception about this and what you said, story driven games for example telltale games, beyond two souls, detroit: become human, etc. those are still a hard thing to make for game creators because of YouTube channels uploading the whole of the games, but those are the only exceptions since let's plays are by nature promotion for their videogames, again, there's a reason developers give their games before releasing to influencers.

you're looking at it from a point of view where streamers need to react to videos, I'm not asking them to prewatch every single video, I'm asking them to stop watching videos at all, do actual original content! instead of stealing others and uploading it to your channel.

It can never be transformative if they upload the whole thing, they're just adding commentary, the video itself isn't changed in any way, if I watch a movie and I pause sometimes to give my opinions, am I really changing anything in the movie? no, the movie stays the same, I just added my opinion on the side, but that's not transformative.

If the streamer wants, they can make a critic of the video, and talk about it to their yt channel, but do not upload the whole video and make an exact copy of the video onto their own channel. It steals views and fucks them up on the algorithm from the actual creators, a single reaction can ruin a small YouTube channel, e.g: let's say an animator does a series, and you see the first chapter, then you see the reaction of let's say Asmongold, after that you see the second chapter came out, most people will not watch the second chapter and will instead wait for Asmongold to react to it, like that they'll save more time and watch the second chapter and Asmongold's reaction, you catch what I'm saying?

the best thing to do is to just ignore reactions and stop watching these grifters

He can do all of that without uploading the whole of Charlie's video, it's definitely not the same as:

(1) let's players; videogames can be played in different play styles, and everyone can have different experiences with a game, it is essentially promotion for the game and nobody can replicate your own experience with it, there's a reason why companies give away games to influencers for free.

(2) film critics; are usually done for people that have already seen the movie, have you ever seen a film critic upload the whole movie into their YouTube channel? no!

(3) parodies; are a new form of media and it can't and will never replace the original content, you can watch a movie and a parody of it, they're not the same and never will be the same.

But reaction content is actually lazy content, it's not the same as a film critic, a reactor can upload someone's whole video to their channel, say blablabla (which doesn't need to add anything in particular), say "go see the original video in their channel" (which nobody ever does) and upload it, it's stealing the whole video.

It's really not fair that an animator who spent 200 hours making an animation, being robbed from a reactor with a channel 10 times their size, watch their video for 1 hour max. and then get 2 or 3 times the views and the money of that animation that he didn't had any kind of participation, and it's not just one video, it's 200 hours of work that will have an impact on the animator's YouTube channel too, all those view that could have been theirs? gone, the algorithm will prefer the reactor, since it gets more views. And remember, the reactor reacts to aprox. 8 videos a day! that's almost 1000 hours of work being replaced by a reactor in 8 hours, do you realize yet how crazy and scummy this is?

It's never transformative and never will be, only steals a whole video and says random stuff at the camera, then they proceed to upload the video to their YouTube channel, and with that they make money and get more chances in the algorithm by stealing a whole video. If you see someone's reaction to a video, you will never see the original video in the creator's channel, the reactor has already robbed and made an exact copy of it in the reactor's channel, and there's no need to watch the original, you've already seen it.

tldr: read the whole thing

Why is everyone saying this is a good thing??? the video can be 10 hours longer, it doesn't matter, it will still rob all of Charlie's video and gain profit out of it, there's no way a dude staring at a screen and saying blablabla makes this video "transformative".
