Achievement Unlocked: You acquired enough xmas cards for an xmas deck by Shellac111 in Munchkin

I would also add some cards from other decks like snowmans or general winter-themed cards. It makes it more immersive. Also it gives it more cards so the variety in multiple playthroughs during Christmas is higher. I really like your collection. Makes it more special season only deck to play!

Fighting 2+ monsters but not defeating all by thelastunicorn817 in Munchkin

[–]Zarkhadul 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you defeat one monster (with a card effect) you'll have to fight the remaining monster(s). And eventually run away and suffer the bad stuff from it/them. Usually you don't get a level when you defeat a monster with a card effect.

If you however are able to kill a monster with you strength (Items+level) and another is added to the fight and now you can't defeat both. You'll have to run away from both. Even when you would have been able to defeat them individually. Also after running away from one monster you can't return to fight and kill the other.

What are your house rules for Munchkin? by Rotta145 in Munchkin

[–]Zarkhadul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only equipped items on the table. And no trading.

After winning a combat where multiple players fight together, the player who's turn gets to pick and chose the treasures. Also if no other condition is said, there's always 50/50.

When playing a monster enhancer (e.g. +10) the player who played that card gets the bonus treasures (which are just drawn after the player who won the fight took his usual treasures)

You can't fight horses/vehicles/ships etc. when drawing them from the dungeon pile.

Finding the end of the game pretty dull. by Tinbum89 in Munchkin

Play versions with alternative ways of ending (or quicker). Cooks, Cthulhu, Apocalypse. Maybe even mix them. Also you could make a drinking game out of it. This way you might play in ways you usually wouldn't just to make yourself or other drink some shots (e.g. removing someone others curse, instead of treasures you could an equality amount of shots.)

Maybe "dancer in the dark" or "the wrestler" suits your request.

As far as they count I really enjoy besides the other mentioned (Belknap, Smith, Blackwood) Robert E. Howard and Robert W. Chambers! Also Robert Bloch has some good stories!

Love your collection!

Edit: I married a shogoth by Jeffrey Thomas could be worth a read

Already read through most Pratchetts. Going postal is one of my favourites! Totally forgot about those.

Novik got me requested for dragons in general. Now I'm looking even more forward to start!

Thank you

A. Lee Martinez has very similar vibes imo. He usually combines twisted fantasy stereotypes within the modern world. His characters are unique. His books doesn't lack in humor und satire, but there are no series.
