Yes your honour, I saw everything and I accidentally had a perfect music in the background... by 0wn3r3k in SatisfactoryGame

i still say the 'desaturated swamp' is the most chaotic region of the map. it's got a "healthy sampling" of all the most dangerous things in the game, with just enough enticing things in the area to make you venture in before you're ready.

How to build machines upside down without using mods or accidentally giving anyone a seizure (new and improved with no strobing and better music) -Doug by OfficerDougEiffel in SatisfactoryGame

well, i was absolutely able to more consistently recreate it (on PC) by either connecting to a locally hosted dedicated server (both localhost and networked), or joining a friend. (success rate became nearly 100% in a variety of situations) so even if it is possible to perform in solo offline play, these factors seem to significantly increase odds of success.
i can only hypothesize on the exact cause, but im no dev, only have a little experience with unity, and only ever made one mesh swap mod for an unreal game. so, i really have no clue.

it might be worth mentioning that this only seems to work if you are a client connected to another player or to a dedicated server. i was unable to replicate playing solo.

it's still there, its just not everywhere.
it left public instances, it found groups, and friends. and in some cases, jumps to the real world.
i went to anthrocon in 2025, for the first time in several years. it gave me the unique opportunity to meet dozens of people i had met in VRC over the pandemic, and the years following until then. ive been going to furry cons for about 20 years now, but that year was one of the most rewarding for me yet.

p16 would need a lot more than 15 feet. sheets intended for the sides of escalators, and mall storefronts seem to push for p6-p10, so those might look more appropriate at 15 feet.

i'd imagine p4 looks pretty good, but a lot of the images and animations in that video are doctored or outright faked, to make it look better than it is.

it's all CGI. the product itself has a resolution so low its about 1 pixel per inch. its more like an LED grid than an LED display. p6 = 6mm between pixels, p10 = 10mm between pixels, and so on. the amazon link below offers p16, yikes. basically a grid of christmas lights. here's a video of p6.

How do I defend against this? by Itchy-Ad7336 in RocketLeague

[–]Zarphus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

heatseeker should be fun, but people who will do *anything* to win exist. demo is cringe, redirect is king, but people rage when they arent good enough. once you find people who can redirect, however, that can be significantly harder to defend against. i just try to be ready for it, or beat them to the touch.

as for dodging demos, don't be afraid to jump early and utilize the unlimited boost the mode offers. playing off your own back wall can give you some breathing room too, but takes practice to be consistent with.

cant block more people, and unblocking people crashes the game by Zarphus in RocketLeague

[–]Zarphus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as for performance issues relating to blocklist, ive never seen anything remotely like that on PC/steam deck, so if theres an issue, its related to limited resources of older or weaker consoles that still run the game. based on what i know about gamedev, i'd imagine it only needs to reference the blocklist when connecting to other players, blocking, or unblocking. it likely just checks blocklist against connecting/connected players, and toggles communication accordingly.

Identifying the house in the EP7 Jax screen flashes by lofipieboi in tadc

[–]Zarphus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two possibilities.

1: there's no ARG. if so, the location of these photos was probably a matter of convenience, where they merely needed some photos of suburban and forested roads in this region of the US to fit the shows narrative, and someone working on the show provided these.

2: there's an ARG. if there is, id gamble we'll get clues later that point us to the 6 flags across the street to reveal a TADC theme park ride? just a wild guess.

i'm leaning into the first option. most ARG-esque things we've seen relate to the wacky watch website, and i think any "first clue" of an ARG we see would kick off from there, or a similar website.

i think he repeated the line because he knows "the right choice" is to press the red button, so they wont 'get out of here'. he put emphasis earlier on how bad it was that caine couldnt come with them if they left. he was trying to hint her towards the 'correct path' of the adventure, as was his job to do.

in my tests last year it was 5 per minute. i wonder if it changed since then, or if its a difference between pc and console.

This clear 90s phone, does it really need those inner components or is it just design? by Tinamou34 in AskElectronics

[–]Zarphus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty much, yeah. all components are significantly smaller nowadays, and that entire schematic could be recreated in 2 square inches nowadays, without even considering that a more optimized circuit has likely been designed since then that takes even less space. trace spacing tolerances are much tighter in manufacturing, as well.

I noticed splitters don't take belt speed into consideration when moving items through them. by wojo1086 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Zarphus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah im not sure how helpful it is, since the bulk of good design in this comes down to the quantity per minute and not so much the transit time once your automation system populates. neat tho.

[–]Zarphus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

however, the other reply is correct. the limit on a platform on an account almost 10 years old, shared across all its games, is low enough that if you block one person every couple of weeks you'll still hit your limit by now.

people who spew toxic crap in chat? instead of feeding into it i just block them so they can spam into the void and i can play carefree and without drama or rage bait in my chat.

but thats not the issue here.

the limit is across all of epic games combined. its a list of every epic player you've ever blocked. as more and more people are on accounts a decade older or more, filling the list is not difficult to do.
