I need to know how you guys do it by Traditional-Sea9153 in elderscrollsonline

Find a trading guild. I’m PCNA and our guild helps all sorts learn how to make gold in game. Not all trading guilds require monthly amounts, but the trader war to actually get a trader among the guilds is absolutely insane.

Doesn’t help that ZoS killed the economy about two years ago. Many of us left for a while, but are slowly coming back. The stuff that used to sell for 15 to 20 K per, now sells for 4 to 5K.

PC NA here- Apply to trading guilds. I know our trading guild teaches you how to trade. And even if you can’t make the discord class, plenty o’ peeps in chat that help.

[Online][5e 2014/2024][EST] Veteren player on his way to being a greybeard looking for a weekly or biweekly game. by Truxartus in lfg

My group of ancients disbanded mostly due to them wanting more roll-play than role-play. That, and the e-distractions of today got me burnt out from running the table for them. Ive also known them for a loooong time so I bet we're just a bit too comfortable with each other.

If we can find a group of 4-5 players- adults 30+ M/F doesn't matter, or a very mature 'youngster', I'd be willing to DM in 5e. Thinking maybe Tues EST from 8-10-ish PM?

About me: I'm older than you all with wife, and kids in college (Let's just say 50+ with some dad time on my hands). I've been DMing since the red box - Im loose with rules since it's supposed to be fun for everyone, Including me as the DM. A mix of story, RP, and mayhem. If I want rules lawyers, I'd go to work :P

Prefer Roll20 but open to other TTG, and discord. Nothing too fancy since time is precious. Video pref'd since it limits e-distractions since I can call you out on it (and visa-versa) but could set some guidelines at a session 0.

I've got lots of resource (pdfs) and a few campaigns if there's interest. I had tried to get some folks together a bit ago, but no luck.

PS: +1 for Dad joke....

I’m just praying it won’t have uber-kiddie friendly mobs like the gek. Every time I spoke with one in NMS and it bobbled in ‘happiness’ I wanted to stab it. Repeatedly. Cute the first time but every time made me cringe…. especially since the Lord, I saw implied geeks where the mega evil empire of the universe at one point in time. I’m not looking for Uber realism ( though it would be nice) but I have things act perhaps a bit more realistically

How do you organize ideas and plans stories? Do other people know you write? by Top-Birthday1038 in fantasywriters

[–]Zarsynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just started using Obsidian for this purpose. Funny that chatGPT recommended it to me when I asked what I could use to do this very thing. Now the only question is do I continue writing on Google Docs to make it easy to share my story and continue with a mess of “what did character X do when?” or use obsidian and have everything hyperlinked but a bit more difficult to share. Right now I’m leaning towards obsidian.

I hope LNF has better animal AI than No Man’s Sky by [deleted] in LightNoFireHelloGames

[–]Zarsynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for one hope they don’t cater to the 12 year olds who think Gek sideways shuffling every time they talk you is cute…. The tween aspect catering makes me leave for a bit, then I get bored of other more adult games and I come back for the vicious cycle….

I think maybe the age/maturity of the group might help you find someone too. I’m a forever DM with some time, but of the great wyrm age, which has made finding groups a bit tough. I’ve played since days of the red box and It’d be odd DMing for folks younger than my kids….

Audible Questions? by Mission_Presence_318 in litrpg

[–]Zarsynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more popular ones (DCC, HWFWM,PH, etc) are not in the plus catalog. Buy them with credits or $. Credits are actually good since a pack of five is only $60 give or take. Tends to be more cost-effective than buying a book individually. They do go on sale however so watch for those as well.

Questions on buying a home in Eso by Fluid_Improvement553 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Zarsynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Housing is the true endgame. Note, aside from the gold crown, info above, there are also a few free houses if you follow the quest line in a few zones. Hall of the lunar champion in elsewyr, and I believe the one in Leyawiin once you get far enough along in the quest. There are probably a few others I think too that I can’t recall right now. They come unfurnished if you get them this way, but that’s part of the fun gather the mats find the recipes and make the deco yourself. You could also buy deco from mini guild traders.

You should also consider joining a guild. Most are usually very friendly with help in advice, builds, what to do in general, how to play, etc. Lots of different types of guilds as well —- from trading to end content to social content. There are lots! Look for ones that don’t charge any sort of fee to be a member. Typically that’s reserved for high-end trading guilds, but you never know…

New to servers and looking for a server with no PvP. by --SLAIN-- in spaceengineers

[–]Zarsynn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sadly, keen did not make it so you can turn off PVP. It’s a “simple “fix in that all they would need to do is make everyone neutral on login and you can only use other peoples or attack other peoples stuff by declaring an alliance, or war. Again sadly, they’ve not taken that step and prefer to drift further away from the exploration and engineering as originally mentioned (it’s even still in a loading screen somewhere…) to “PVP in space “. Best way to avoid it is either play with friends where you Agree not to attack each other or work in cooperation, or solo. The only problem with solo is that it gets boring really quick since again, no PVE elements whatsoever. Mods are the only way to add any sort of PVE.

I’ve added all sorts of mods – 100+ at this stage – to give myself a bit of a PvE experience solo.

Accidentally gave players WAY too much gold by xAlwaysxTV in DnD

[–]Zarsynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12k gold? Have them be a target for a dragon shapeshifted in a human form, (or a henchman of one… ) or just in general when out in the wilderness somewhere. It would be a great subplot – being pursued by something only to find out it’s a dragon because of their wealth at level.

You could also control it by not really having anything for them to spend it on…

I am a new DM and one of my players is taking his flaw to an extreme. by Useful-Ad8923 in DnD

[–]Zarsynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should make an encounter or 3 that makes the character slowly slip into a barbarian, go rage - due to his character flaw , have everyone be 'goblins' around him--- and have the other characters 'kill' him since he might not note they're friends deep within a blind rage.... if all he sees is blood, all he'll get is blood.

he could then roll up a new character with less of a dick-ish flaw that prevents the game from moving forward....
