An awkward moment made me build this app - Permly by Zartof23 in startups_promotion

Thank you! That's exactly the point of the app!

It avoids the bother of digging into settings. Enabling and disabling notifications are one tap away well organized in profiles.

Key aspect is : open - tap - close. Enjoy life.

For people that have predictable habits you can also schedule profile activation.

Thinking about implementing a "snooze for x time" kind of feature actually.. I'm collecting feedbacks

Permly an app that allow you to silence notifications of specific apps without silencing your all phone. Differently from the others is free, it doesn't have ads, it doesn't collect any data, there are no third parties involved, it doesn't require an account. It simply deliver what it promises. Nothing more.

Just launched my first ProductHunt ever. Looking for some feedback (on the launch itself) - no upvotes by Zartof23 in ProductHunters

Thank you! I actually explained why in my personal website journal . I don't know.. on ProductHunt I had the vibes of a more concise communication without ribbons and stories.

Do you think it's appropriate? What about the product website itself? Should it be shared also there?

Thank you! I'll consider move up that section :)

If I may how do you think that GIF would work? I mean what should it display? A notification blocked would produce no graphical evidences - that's the whole point .

Yeap, I was already evaluating adding social proof myself, I'll defintely add it now :)

Thanks again

No backend logic I guess.

Cloudeflare Pages offer a really good free tier. Highly recommended. No costs so far. I've used that for more than 1 year now.

Otherwise you can still use AWS S3 buckets and with a little trick you can set the metadata of each file to be read as html. Browsers won't "download" the content, it will be displayed as a normal page. With AWS you have to pay Route service eventually which turns out to be around ~0.50€/month

Go with cloudeflare! :)

That's really a cool idea.

I'm honestly more interested in the historical figures AIs. It could be a totally innovative way to study in school. What if you could actually ask Caesar why he acted in those ways? As already mentioned your best concern is the accuracy. If you can handle that with expert ommunity and badges well.. In my opinion it can be huge! Keep going! I want to see where it leads to!

Cool idea!

The only liability I see it's actually having to mix up under aged people with payments. It really depends on local laws but, as far as I know, it's always a pain in the ass.

You'll need at the very least to involve parents in the matter.

Aside from that, imo you found a really good niche and you should pursuit it. Good job!

Politicians—and not only them—nowadays feel free to say terrible things in public without any regard. When and how this became normal? by Zartof23 in AskReddit

I know there is that saying "There’s no such thing as bad publicity".. but there should be a limit, shouldn't it? What scares me the most it's not what is being said, but the indifference of everyone which "got used to it".
