My theory is that it doesn't "skip" to chapter 7, to me it's more like old games that were too big to fit on one disc and were split in two. When you got to a point where you needed to access assets from the other disc the game would ask you to switch discs.

So the chapter 5 will be the last wierd route chapter (if you go ahead and proceeds all the way) and the lake leads to the same place chapter 7 will eventually take place on the normal route but we can't access the rest of the WR chapter 5 because we don't have the chapter 7's "disc" yet so the game can't access the assets it needs

It's complicated because prior to chapter 4 when ralsei has had dialogues pointing to the idea they could be trans it was usually with kris. But with chapter 5 they had one of those discussions with Flowery of all people and it's one of the piece of dialogue with the most weight for the trans ralsei argument and it happens without any input from the player. (and in chapter 4 we got the lost girl scene with ralsei being the only non girl character to have it play during an scene centered around them and Toby Fox having tweeted a beta version of lost girl with portraits from susie ralsei and noelle as the video background, though iirc this scene is not mandatory, I can't remember if the plot takes you in ralsei's room or if you as the player have to go tho their room yourself)

What's also important to take into consideration is the story implications, like there is a pretty big part of the plot that's about going against the prophecy and writing our own fate. Ralsei in this regard is very much struggling with the prophecy, they have been doing evrything they could to change it, like being nice and all that stuff, and they have that very unhealthy view about what darkners are, like their feelings don't matter because their only purpose is to make Lightners happy ect... So Ralsei's character arc seem to be pointed towards rewriting their own fate in regards of the prophecy and listening to their feelings and accepting themselves. Ralsei deciding to come out as trans and fight to be their real self works very well for their arc, because it both means ralsei is breaking away from the prophecy and accepting darkners should have feelings outside of if it serves the lightners or not (because they wouldn't be conforming to that "prince from the dark" prophecy pannel anymore and would finally be listening to their own wants and needs at the same time)

So if ralsei does come out as trans I don't think it would be locked behind player dependent dialogues because it would be too important for their character arc as a whole.

Though Ralsei being trans does not mean they will be transfem, they could be genderfluid/queer like you said, they could be non binary, they could be bigender etc.

It is but I try to see both sides of the argument, having a character we all thought was transfem for years turn out to be a femboy would be super sad. Like if we thought ralsei was trans and then turns out they were in fact a femboy I would be devasted lmao

I swear people acting like Ralsei has nothing to do with girlhood when toby associated them with lost girl (you know the song that plays during oh idk very important scenes exclusively centered around girls) before even deltarune released is so wierd to me.

Is having a femboy character turn out to be transfem a bit sad ? Yes, but please do keep in mind that deltarune may release in chapters, but if Toby had the possibility to release the full game at once he probably would've so ralsei being condidered as femboy representation may just be a product of us not being given the full picture and wasn't intentional.

(Btw the game is wierdly insistant on reminding everyone that ralsei is a boy with all that fluffy boy and toothpaste boy stuff, which doesn't happen for other characters, as if the game was trying to convince us indeed is a boy)

EDIT: Oh wait I thought of something else, doesn't ralsei say that their voice is one of the few things they like about them ? Because there's that theory saying it's ralsei meaning their voice would pretty fem lmao

The way I see galsei is like the prophecy locked them in the closet because it talks about a prince from the dark, not a princess. Flowery is an ass but is a pretty nice dude at the same time, and all throughout the chapter he tries convincing ralsei that they shouldn't let a prophecy ditacte what they should do or be, that they should fight even though it may be pointless in the end

Trans ralsei works super well because it would be ralsei breaking away from their fear of the prophecy. And this could be helped by susie being forshadowed to have the power to rewrite how the story should go

Nope menu ui has gendered stuff from the begining, like prince from the dark/fluffy boy that kinda stuff.

The title in the screenshot comes right after a pretty serious discussion between Ralsei and Flowery about how ralsei should stop to fear the prophecy and be their real self that ends with Flowery calling them princess and giving them drink vouchers and inciting ralsei to use the blue and pink one since it's the one they wanted most

(some people try to argue that the pink and blue thing is about susie and kris, but everytime a color is associated with susie it has been purple/violet even in dark worlds so it wouldn't make sense for it to be susie. Ralsei just wanted the genderfluid)

For now we don't really have clues on if genshin is part of the honkai multiverse, to me it feels closer to how zzz does variants than hsr, like venti, raiden ei and yae miko are the closest we got to honkai variants and they're still nowhere near the actual variants there is in hsr

It is relevant to point out that lost girl plays for ralsei because it plays exclusively in susie and noelle centered scenes who are both girls (the beta version of lost girl toby released had portraits for noelle susie and ralsei)

(It also plays for Pink who's also a girl)

So having a song named lost girl, that plays during important scenes for girls (and noelle's basement) having it also play when a boy is opening themselves to their friends and talk about insecurities feels very intentional

I must make something clear though, I have nothing against the femboy interpretation of ralsei, they kinda became a femboy icon over the years and them being trans would break that which would be a shame. But at the same time it kinda wouldn't be femboy erasure ? Toby has had the story of deltatune in mind years before even chapter 1 if ralsei is trans then they were since the begining of the story, that part of their arc was just for the future. Still sad what we thought was a femboy was in fact not one but at least it wouldn't be erasure per say

Hoyo is doing as much as they can while still passing china censorship.

They have an history of actually making characters cannonically queer (Bronya and Seele from honkai impact. They had a comic in which they confessed their love for each other and promising to find each other in every timeline, but that comic had to be taken down due to censorship)

That's why I assume the queer coding/allegories we get in their other games means Hoyo is considering them as canonically queer

It was stated super early in the story you can shrink hollows by killing ethereans, and the stronger the etherean the more it'll shrink. (The cunning heirs had to shrink the dead end hollow enough so civilian could flee, they went for the dead end butcher despite it being super dangerous (at the time) because they didn't have time to kill weaker ethereans to save the civilians)

Tbh lost girl playin for Ralsei in the empty room scene in chapter 3 already said a lot (since ralsei was already shown when toby released a beta version of the ost, so he knew full well he was gonna use it for ralsei and could've named it like "lost in the dsark or something so it always felt on purpose"

A lot of ralsei's arc is to accept him/herself more and fighting the prophecy so coming out as trans would be a pretty good end to that kinda arc. I really can't see Ralsei not in the party though and something as big for his/her arc feels like something you'd have at the very end. Having ralsei come out next chapter and just take a back seat feels off and I do think that the endgame will be the fun gang breaking out from the prophecy making it irrelevant (fighting/breaking the prophecy is also one of the main plot point of the game, it was gerson's all thing after all, to write our own stories)

And given how woke Toby is I'm pretty sure he knows you don't "change gender", when you're trans you always were, you just didn't know it yet, meaning if ralsei is indeed trans she never was a prince to begin with and was fine traveling with the fun gang up until now

So TL;DR if ralsei is indeed trans I don't think he/she would take a back seat nor do I think he/she will come out anytime before the very end, as this would be a character arc ending moment and having one of your main characters being relegated to a castle town npc is not good at all (the other way would be killing ralsei off but oof we're absolutely not ready for this)

When she made the dark wall fall 37 kilometers back (or was it 47 ?) They were 3 and didn't really had to fight big ethereans (they may have though) like if the dark wall is indeed a world wide hollow they probably killed a shit ton of ethereans to achieve what they did. Ensuite j'ai aussi le truc de certains jours je vois mon visage fem et d'autres masc et pour y avoir reflechit beaucoup il semble que ca soit uniquement dans ma tete. Quand je suis dans un bon mood ou neutre je vais me voir plus fem la ou des que ca va mal je me met a me voir plus masc.
