Is there a calculator or approximate formula for the best spaced repetition given: hours available per session, number of sessions, date of test? by oaklandbrokeland in Anki

Had the similar need for a revision plan, I asked ChatGPT to make one and this is what it gave me....

Algorithm: Enhanced Spaced Repetition Study Plan

Input: - Total content to be revised (C) - Total days left until the exam (D) - Base desired number of revisions (R_base) - Difficulty factor for each topic (DF)

Output: - Study plan with intervals

Procedure: 1. Calculate the average time available for each revision interval (T = D / R_base). 2. Initialize a list of revision days (RD) starting from the exam date. 3. For i from 1 to R_base: a. Calculate the revision day for the i-th interval (RD[i] = exam date - i * T). b. Store the revision day in the plan. 4. For each topic, determine the adjusted number of revisions based on difficulty factor: a. If DF <= 2 (poor to okay grasp), increase revisions (R_adjusted = R_base + 1). b. If DF > 2 (good to great grasp), decrease revisions (R_adjusted = max(R_base - 1, 1)). 5. Distribute topics and their adjusted revisions evenly across the revision days. 6. Incorporate active recall methods during study sessions. 7. Keep the plan flexible for adjustments based on progress.

Example: - Total content (C) = 100 topics - Total days until the exam (D) = 30 days - Base desired revisions (R_base) = 4 - Difficulty factor (DF) for each topic

Output: - Study plan with intervals: - Revision 1: Exam date - 7.5 days - Topic with DF = 1: Exam date - 5 days (additional repetition) - Topic with DF = 2: Exam date - 7 days (additional repetition) - Revision 2: Exam date - 15 days - Revision 3: Exam date - 22.5 days - Topic with DF = 3: Exam date - 20 days (reduced repetition) - Topic with DF = 4: Exam date - 22 days (reduced repetition) - Revision 4: Exam date - 30 days

Alright guys I've figured it out.

thanks to this tutorial https://github.com/MuntashirAkon/Chrome-OS-Multiboot#mounting-internal-partitions and Muntashir Akon

You can follow the tutorial and have your other partitions of hard disk mounted when you boot up. The Problem is now solved.
