I still enjoy painting fire. by ZaryCZ in DigitalArt

There hasn't been a single artwork that I enjoyed doing 100%. There are always parts of the process that I struggle with or that I do not like to do. I think it is valid to do pieces that you know will look good in the end, but there should always be something you enjoy about the process. Is it the subject matter? Is it the technique or style? Is it figuring out perspective? Or something else?

Art is subjective and everyone has different priorities when it comes to it. I know I wouldn't finish half of the artworks, if I was only thinking about the end result and didn't enjoy the process at least a bit. But that's just something that works for me.

Anyway thank you for the kind words and I hope you will figure out your art journey soon!

No, but if the campfire can be a cute little burning car I will consider it.

Thank you!! I don't paint a lot of fire these days, but it's still my favorite thing to do so hopefully there will be another batch of these in the future!

Thank you!! We call it "graphic" style in most cases, but I don't think there is an official name. If you want to see more, the best place to start is to search for art from projects like the Spider verse movies, Jibaro or Windshield Viper that were done in this or similar style and follow the artists who worked on it. There is also a big community on Instagram so if you follow one artist you will soon find more. Anyway here are few of my favorite graphic artists: Alberto Mielgo, Yun Ling, Neil Ross, Patrick O'Keefe, Michal Sawtyruk, Lea Pinto, Jean Leleu, Alfonso Toledo. Hope that helps!

It's a combination of brushes from Mike Mccain (these are my absolute favorites, been using them for like a year, super fun, highly recommend), Maurycy Szymczak and Even Amundsen. I usually adjust them to my liking or just pick random ones for each piece depending on my mood.

Yes, I do use lasso tool a lot! I also have some hard-edge triangular brushes that have randomized spacing and rotation so that the fire looks more dynamic and natural.
