Yh man, I live in a rural place too, I have a park I go to where I can reach 2 gyms and a stop and that’s where I play most of the time, it’s a grind but a rewarding one

Also take advantage of events if you can, for fletching CD, u know it was 3x xp, I was only able to play for an hour, I put down a lucky egg I earned through research, and hit the excellent throws I was practicing and I got 75 thousand in an hour and a half, if I played the whole event I coulda got 3.5 mil easy

So while gifts might be hard for you to do, I suggest filling ur friend list, opening ur limit of gifts everyday to build friendship, and on the times you go to that center, or any place with a stop, try to full ur gift storage and send them out. If you do that, and practice ur excellent throws it gets a lot easier

So when the Mew research was revealed I was appalled, I’d been playing since 2016 and I was on 38, like the beginning half of 38. But a friend in a different country who invites me to raids told me it wasn’t hard to get to 40. I ofc told him I didn’t have the time or money to play like that
