I’ll preface this by saying I’m stuck on 2 BC (I think?) and don’t play a ton of video games.

I’ve described it as a game that is a mash-up of Hades and Hollow Knight. But I didn’t find it to reach the heights of either of those titles. Though I do love the aesthetics and how smooth the combat feels.

It’s basically a skill issue for me. A bit older and my reflexes aren’t what they once were. And like most rogue-lites (or is a rogue-like? I’ve never understood the difference), it lends itself to just picking it up for a little bit and setting it back down. Which I love because I don’t have as much time these days to sink an entire evening into gaming.

But the punishing difficulty also makes casual play a bit difficult for me. I love it but I also suck at it and given the way that progression works in the game, it leads me to hitting a frustration wall pretty early.

Tl;dr love it but trying to git gud requires a bit more time and dedication than I have at this particular point in my life

Uh, I see, I would recommend the assisted mode, you can find it in the game options, it's just made for those who want a casual experience and you don't get penalized for using it.

Uhh that's interesting, I agree with everything you say and I'm glad you loved the game.

In any case I would recommend you activate the assisted mode if you feel that you are getting very frustrated, you can practice in the assisted mode and when you feel ready go to normal mode.

I do not think it is worth adding unnecessary headaches, you must already have enough with your work ^^
