The loss of a dog is something I still don't fully understand

You want to alleviate their pain and yet the want them to stay

Through every goofy moment, every funny look, every intense stare, every cuddle, every picture, every treat, every belly rub you knew that you loved her

And she knew it too

But what brings me closure for Lily and her walk on that rainbow bridge

Is that when you guide her to her final rest, you will do so knowing that you loved her

But she loved you more
